The curriculum

What's inside your school

6 modules · 24 lessons

1

Brand Identity & Graphic Design Foundations

Students build the conceptual and technical bedrock of professional graphic design. Starting with design thinking and visual perception, they progress through the full brand-identity pipeline — logo construction, typography, colour, and cohesive style guides — using industry-standard Adobe tools. This module is intentionally first because its visual-language vocabulary underpins every subsequent discipline.

  • 1.1Design Thinking & Visual PrinciplesIncluded
  • 1.2Colour Theory, Adobe Illustrator & Design Tool MasteryIncluded
  • 1.3Logo Design & Mark ConstructionIncluded
  • 1.4Typography Systems & Brand VoiceIncluded
  • 1.5Brand Identity Systems & Style GuidesIncluded
2

Web Design & No-Code Development

Students design and build production-ready, responsive websites without a traditional engineering background. The module moves deliberately from user-centred strategy through high-fidelity visual design in Figma, into no-code construction in Webflow, and finally into HTML/CSS fundamentals for confident customisation. Figma is introduced here as an extension of the design-tool vocabulary established in Module 1.

  • 2.1UI/UX Design Principles & WireframingIncluded
  • 2.2High-Fidelity Web Design in FigmaIncluded
  • 2.3No-Code Web Building with WebflowIncluded
  • 2.4HTML, CSS & Web Customisation EssentialsIncluded
3

Photography & Videography for Creatives

Students develop technical mastery of camera operation, lighting, composition, and post-production to produce commercial- and editorial-grade stills and video. The module is sequenced so that camera fundamentals and lighting inform the photography shoots, and those captured assets flow directly into the editing lessons — mirroring the real production pipeline.

  • 3.1Camera Fundamentals & CompositionIncluded
  • 3.2Lighting & Commercial PhotographyIncluded
  • 3.3Photo Editing & Retouching in Lightroom & PhotoshopIncluded
  • 3.4Videography, Editing & Motion StorytellingIncluded
4

Game Design, Animation & Motion Graphics

Students move from character concept through rigged animation and motion graphics to a functioning game prototype. The module is sequenced so that character and visual development assets feed directly into animation, which in turn informs motion graphics production and then game assembly — reinforcing creative reuse across disciplines.

  • 4.1Character Design & Visual DevelopmentIncluded
  • 4.2Frame-by-Frame & Rigged AnimationIncluded
  • 4.3Motion Graphics & Title DesignIncluded
  • 4.4Game Design Fundamentals & PrototypingIncluded
5

AI-Powered Design & Vibe Coding

Students harness AI as a creative and technical accelerant — using generative image tools, AI-assisted design workflows, and natural-language coding (vibe coding) to design, build, and publish original apps and web experiences at speed. This module sits after the design and web fundamentals modules so that students can critically evaluate and direct AI output rather than blindly accepting it.

  • 5.1AI Tools for Visual CreativesIncluded
  • 5.2Vibe Coding: Building with AI Pair ProgrammersIncluded
  • 5.3App Design, Prototyping & PublishingIncluded
6

Portfolio, Freelance & Creative Career Launch

Students consolidate every project created across the programme into a multi-disciplinary, client-ready portfolio and build the business infrastructure to operate as a professional creative — freelancer, agency hire, or founder. Sequenced last so all portfolio assets exist before strategy and presentation work begins.

  • 6.1Portfolio Strategy & Case Study WritingIncluded
  • 6.2Building & Launching Your Portfolio SiteIncluded
  • 6.3Freelance Business, Pricing & Client ManagementIncluded
  • 6.4Final Portfolio Presentation & Career PositioningIncluded

If you're reading this, I'm going to guess you've already spent time trying to piece it together on your own — a Photoshop tutorial here, a branding crash course there, maybe a free Figma intro that left you with more questions than answers. You're clearly motivated. You're clearly talented. But you don't yet have the full picture, and that gap between where you are and where you want to be is frustrating.

I built Above Brand Studio because that scattered approach costs people years. The creative industry doesn't reward people who know one thing well in isolation — it rewards people who can think visually, build confidently, and deliver across disciplines. A brand identity that lives only on paper is half a job. A beautiful website that can't be photographed or filmed for a launch campaign is half a job. Real creative careers are built on a complete skill set, and that's exactly what this school is structured to give you.

Here's what you'll actually do inside this school: you'll construct logos and full visual identity systems from scratch. You'll design and build responsive websites in Figma and Webflow. You'll get behind a camera and learn to shoot and edit commercial-quality photos and video. You'll animate characters and build motion graphics. You'll use AI-assisted tools to prototype and publish real apps. And in the final module, you'll pull it all into a portfolio that's deliberately built to win freelance work and agency interviews. Every project is real. Every skill is used.

The one objection I hear is this: "I don't have a design degree." Good. You don't need one. What you need is the right curriculum, the right tools, and the discipline to ship work. This school gives you the first two. The third one is yours to bring — and if you've made it this far down this page, I think you've already got it.

Come build something worth showing the world. Above Brand Studio is ready when you are.
