If you're reading this, I'd guess you've had at least one moment — maybe more — where you felt completely out of your depth. Where you left a school meeting more confused than when you walked in. Where you tried a strategy you read about online and it flopped, and you weren't sure if it was the strategy or something about your child you still didn't understand. Where your child had a hard day and you held it together until bedtime, and then you just sat in the quiet and wondered: Am I enough for them?
I want you to hear this clearly: you are. But you deserve more than guesswork and midnight scrolling.
I created Autism Parent Academy because I believe that parents are the most powerful force in a child's life — and that when parents are given real, evidence-based tools in language they can actually use, extraordinary things happen. Not "cure" things. Not overnight things. But real, meaningful, compounding things: a child who finds a way to tell you what they need. A morning routine that no longer ends in tears. A homework session that doesn't unravel into a power struggle. A school meeting where you walk in prepared, ask the right questions, and leave knowing exactly what to watch for. Those things are possible — and they start with you.
This academy covers the full picture of your child's daily world: how they communicate, how they learn to read and do math, how they experience emotions and sensory input, how they build social skills and independence, and how all of that connects to what happens in school. Every module is grounded in research — Science of Reading, AAC best practices, positive behavior support, executive function science — but you will never feel like you're reading a textbook. Everything is translated into what it looks like at your kitchen table, in your car, in the school parking lot before a meeting.
I want this to feel like having a trusted coach in your corner — someone who celebrates when your child finally uses their AAC device to ask for a snack, and who also helps you troubleshoot when the visual schedule you worked so hard to set up suddenly stops working. Progress isn't linear, and I designed this course to honor that. You'll learn to read your child, adapt your approach, and keep going — because that's what good support actually looks like.
You don't need a degree to do this well. You just need the right foundation, the right tools, and a community that gets it. I built all three for you here. I'm so glad you found us — and I can't wait to see what you and your child accomplish together.
