What you'll learn

What you'll be able to do

  • Identify your personal Prakriti (Vata, Pitta, Kapha constitution) and understand how it governs your health, digestion, energy, and emotions.
  • Design a personalised Dinacharya (daily routine) — including tongue scraping, oil pulling, and abhyanga self-massage — that brings your doshas into lasting balance.
  • Select and prepare Ayurvedic herbs and spices (ashwagandha, triphala, turmeric, and more) safely and effectively for common imbalances.
  • Build seasonal meal plans aligned with Ritucharya (seasonal regimen) that pacify dominant doshas through food qualities, tastes, and preparation methods.
  • Recognise the early signs of dosha imbalance (Vikruti) and apply foundational Ayurvedic corrective protocols before illness takes hold.
  • Communicate Ayurvedic principles confidently to others — whether guiding clients, friends, or family — using accurate terminology and evidence-informed context.

The curriculum

What's inside your school

6 modules · 18 lessons

1

The Roots of Ayurveda — Philosophy, History & Core Framework

Establish the intellectual and philosophical foundation students need before engaging with clinical or practical Ayurvedic content. Without understanding where Ayurveda comes from and the conceptual lens it uses, later modules on doshas, herbs, and routines lack coherent grounding. This module ensures no student advances on memorisation alone.

  • 1.15,000 Years of Healing — Ayurveda's Origins and Relevance TodayIncluded
  • 1.2The Five Elements — Pancha Mahabhutas as the Building Blocks of EverythingIncluded
  • 1.3Tridosha Theory — Meeting Vata, Pitta, and KaphaIncluded
2

Know Thyself — Discovering Your Prakriti and Vikruti

Translate philosophical foundations into personal self-knowledge. Students conduct a structured Prakriti assessment, learn to detect the early whispers of Vikruti (current imbalance), and develop a deep understanding of Agni — the digestive fire that sits at the epicentre of Ayurvedic health. This module directly delivers the first and fifth target outcomes and is prerequisite to all practical modules.

  • 2.1Prakriti Assessment — Reading Your Unique Mind-Body BlueprintIncluded
  • 2.2Vikruti — Recognising Imbalance Before It Becomes DiseaseIncluded
  • 2.3Agni — The Digestive Fire at the Heart of All HealthIncluded
3

Dinacharya — The Art of the Ayurvedic Daily Routine

Move from self-knowledge into embodied daily practice. Students design, trial, and refine a personalised Dinacharya — the cornerstone Ayurvedic strategy for maintaining doshic balance through consistent daily rhythm. Each practice is taught with its physiological and energetic rationale so students can explain and adapt it intelligently, not merely replicate it by rote. Directly delivers target outcome two.

  • 3.1Morning Rituals — Waking, Cleansing, and Priming the BodyIncluded
  • 3.2Abhyanga — Ayurvedic Self-Massage as Daily MedicineIncluded
  • 3.3Evening Rituals, Sleep Hygiene, and the Doshic ClockIncluded
4

Ayurvedic Nutrition — Food as Your First Medicine

Equip students with Ayurveda's sophisticated nutritional framework — one that assesses food not by macronutrients but by taste (Rasa), quality (Guna), post-digestive effect (Vipaka), and potency (Virya). Students move from theory to plate, designing dosha-pacifying meals and full seasonal eating plans. This module directly delivers target outcomes four and partially five, and builds directly on Agni knowledge from Module 2.

  • 4.1The Six Tastes and Twenty Qualities — Ayurveda's Nutritional LanguageIncluded
  • 4.2Dosha-Pacifying Meal Planning — Eating for Your ConstitutionIncluded
  • 4.3Ritucharya — Seasonal Eating and LivingIncluded
5

Ayurvedic Herbalism — Plants, Spices, and Therapeutic Formulations

Build confident, safe, and informed herbal literacy. Students first learn the theoretical framework Ayurveda uses to classify and deploy herbs (Rasa, Virya, Vipaka, Prabhava) before studying the most clinically relevant and widely accessible herbs in depth. The module closes with kitchen pharmacy — bringing herbalism into everyday cooking. Directly delivers target outcome three and reinforces outcome five. Safety, contraindications, and evidence context are woven throughout.

  • 5.1The Ayurvedic Herbal Framework — Rasa, Virya, Vipaka, and PrabhavaIncluded
  • 5.2The Power Herbs — Ashwagandha, Triphala, Turmeric, Tulsi, and BrahmiIncluded
  • 5.3Kitchen Pharmacy — Everyday Spices as Daily MedicineIncluded
6

Communicating and Applying Ayurveda — From Personal Practice to Guiding Others

Integrate all prior learning into confident, ethical, and effective communication and application. Students learn to conduct a structured Ayurvedic intake, translate complex concepts into accessible language for diverse audiences, navigate the boundary between wellness guidance and medical advice, and synthesise their entire learning into a personal integrative lifestyle plan. Directly delivers target outcome six and consolidates all others.

  • 6.1Ayurvedic Intake and Assessment — Structuring a Holistic ConsultationIncluded
  • 6.2Translating Ayurveda — Making Ancient Wisdom Accessible and Evidence-InformedIncluded
  • 6.3Building Your Integrative Ayurvedic Lifestyle — A Personal RoadmapIncluded

You've lived in the philosophical neighbourhood of Ayurveda for years through yoga — now it's time to cross the threshold and learn the sister science that makes everything you practice even more coherent.

Wellness-curious beginners

You've tried the diets, the supplements, and the routines, but you want a system — a complete framework that explains why certain things help your body and others don't.

Aspiring Ayurvedic practitioners

You're heading toward formal practitioner training and want to arrive with a grounded, thorough foundation in Prakriti, Vikruti, herbalism, and Ayurvedic consultation principles.

Ivonne Ramos

If you've found your way here, I suspect you already sense that there's something more — something deeper and more coherent — available to you than the wellness world typically offers. Maybe you've experimented with yoga, clean eating, adaptogens, or meditation, and while each has helped, something still feels fragmented. You're looking for a system. A language. A way of understanding yourself and your body that actually holds together.

That is exactly what Ayurveda is. And it is exactly what this school is built to give you.

I created Ayurveda Living because I believe this science deserves to be taught the way it was meant to be received — not as a collection of tips and hacks, but as a living, breathing framework that changes how you see yourself and the world around you. Every module in this school has been designed with that in mind: beginning with the philosophical roots that make everything else meaningful, moving through the deeply personal work of Prakriti and Vikruti assessment, and building outward into nutrition, herbalism, daily ritual, and seasonal living.

What I want for you is fluency. Not the ability to recite Sanskrit terms, but the felt, intuitive understanding of why your digestion weakens in late autumn, why certain foods leave you anxious and scattered while others settle you, why your energy follows a doshic clock your body has always known but that nobody taught you to read. When that fluency arrives — and it does arrive — it changes everything. It changes what you put in your body, how you structure your mornings, how you respond to stress, and how you support the people you love.

I also want to be honest with you about what this school is and isn't. It is not a shortcut. It is not a practitioner certification. It is a serious, structured, and deeply practical education in Ayurvedic living — one that will leave you genuinely equipped: to build your own integrative lifestyle, to speak Ayurveda's language with confidence and accuracy, and, if that is your path, to enter formal practitioner training with a foundation that most students spend years trying to build on their own.

You don't need any prior experience to begin. You only need a genuine curiosity and the willingness to look at yourself — your patterns, your constitution, your relationship with food, sleep, and the seasons — with fresh, compassionate eyes. If you're ready for that, I'm honoured to be your guide. Come in. The path is right here.
