Know what Scripture actually teaches about angels

If you have spent any time in contemporary Christian literature on angels, you already know the frustration. The shelves are full of near-death narratives, angelic encounter memoirs, and devotional treatments that feel warm and appealing but leave you with almost nothing you could defend from a careful reading of the biblical text. You walk away with impressions, not understanding. And somewhere beneath the surface, a question nags: what does Scripture actually teach?

That question is exactly why I built this school.

Biblical angelology is a genuine theological discipline with a rich exegetical and historical heritage — one that stretches from the earliest Church Fathers through the great medieval theologians to the Reformation and into the best of contemporary evangelical scholarship. But most students, even serious ones, have never been given access to that tradition in a form that is both academically honest and pastorally useful. They have been left to choose between lightweight popular treatments and dense academic monographs that assume they already know Greek, Latin, and a great deal of systematic theology. This school occupies the ground between those two extremes — rigorous enough to serve seminary students and pastors, accessible enough to reward the committed lay theologian who simply wants to think carefully about what the Bible says.

What you will find here is a full doctrinal treatment: the nature and origin of angels, the great angelic figures and narratives of Scripture read with sound hermeneutical method, the distinct ministries the Bible assigns to these creatures, the sobering doctrine of fallen angels and the victory of Christ over every opposing power, the long sweep of the tradition from the Fathers to the present, and finally the careful integration of everything you have learned into a Christ-centered systematic theology. Every unit is anchored in the text. Every claim is tested against the biblical witness. And the whole study is oriented from beginning to end toward doxology — not the angels themselves, but the triune God whom they serve and adore.

My deepest conviction, the one that shapes every lesson in this school, is this: you cannot understand what angels are for until you understand who God is and what he is doing in redemptive history. The moment that connection becomes clear — the moment you see the cherubim of Genesis alongside the cherubim of Revelation, or the angelic announcement at the incarnation alongside the angelic proclamation at the resurrection — the doctrine stops being exotic and becomes luminous. I want that moment for every student who enters this school.
