That Honey's Money
Hey — I see you over there, closing yet another budgeting app you downloaded with good intentions and never opened again. Or maybe you've got a spreadsheet somewhere with three weeks of data and then a very suspicious blank space where February used to be. Either way: I get it, and I'm genuinely not here to lecture you about it.
Here's the thing I had to figure out the hard way: budgeting doesn't fail because you're lazy or bad with money. It fails because almost every piece of budgeting advice out there is designed for people who already love budgeting. It's dry, it's rigid, and it's built on shame. "You spent HOW much on takeout?!" Cool, very helpful, now I feel terrible AND I'm still broke. That approach doesn't work — and once I understood why, everything changed.
What actually works? Making your money system feel good to use. Sounds simple, maybe even a little silly, but it's backed by how motivation and habit formation actually work. When you can see your progress visually, when you get a little dopamine hit from hitting a savings milestone, when your weekly money check-in feels like a ritual instead of a reckoning — you show up for it. Consistently. And consistency is the whole game.
That's exactly what I built this school around. Inside Budget Like a Boss, we start by flipping your money mindset — understanding your spending triggers, your money personality, and why the old rules never fit you. Then we build your actual budget together: your numbers, your style, your colorful tracking system. We hunt down the sneaky subscription charges and impulse traps quietly draining your account. We set up a visual dashboard that makes your progress impossible to ignore. We map out your debt payoff in a way that rewards you as you go. And we cap it all off with a Weekly Money Date ritual that makes you want to check in with your finances every single week.
I built this for the version of me that was overwhelmed, under-informed, and convinced that budgeting just wasn't for people like me. Turns out it absolutely is — it just needed a serious makeover. If you're ready to stop dreading your bank account and start actually feeling like the boss of your financial life, I am so glad you're here. Let's play.
