Wanda Holmes
If you've been putting off your CDA credential because you don't know where to start — or you tried once and it didn't go the way you hoped — I want you to know something first: that experience is more common than you think, and it doesn't say anything about your ability to do this work or to pass this exam.
The CDA process can feel genuinely confusing from the outside. There's the written exam covering six Competency Standards and thirteen Functional Areas. There's the Professional Portfolio with its Resource Collection and Reflective Statements. There's the verification visit. And there's very little out there that tells you, in plain language, exactly how to prepare for all of it without feeling buried. That gap is why I built CDA Ready.
I designed this school the way I wish someone had laid it out for me — domain by domain, with clear explanations, targeted practice quizzes after each section, and full-length timed exams that make the real test feel familiar. We don't just cover the content; we cover the NAEYC Code of Ethical Conduct, developmentally appropriate environments, family partnership strategies, mandated reporting, child nutrition, and everything else the Council for Professional Recognition tests you on. And then we build your portfolio step by step, so it's polished and complete — not a last-minute scramble.
Here's what I know about adult learners pursuing a credential while working in a classroom: you're not lacking motivation. You're lacking a system. CDA Ready is that system. You'll know what you know, you'll know what you need to work on, and you'll have a personalized study plan that fits your actual life.
The children in your care deserve an educator who's recognized, credentialed, and confident. And you deserve to walk into that exam room ready. Let's get you there.
