Wanda Holmes
If you're working in a childcare center, you already know this work is harder than most people on the outside give it credit for. You're managing a room full of little ones, navigating parent expectations, working alongside colleagues who have different styles and personalities, and doing it all while staying safe, legal, and professional — sometimes all before 9 a.m. You don't need someone to tell you the job is important. You already know that. What you might need is a clear, practical framework for the harder parts — the parts nobody really trained you for.
That's what this school is built to do. I created it because the early childhood education field is full of dedicated, caring people who are often thrown into complex professional and ethical situations without the tools to handle them confidently. What does "professional boundaries" actually look like on the floor? What do you do when you suspect something is wrong at home for one of your kids? How do you raise a concern with your director without it becoming a whole thing? These aren't hypothetical edge cases — they're Tuesday.
Every module in this school is grounded in the real scenarios childcare workers face. We cover the fundamentals — ethics, accountability, punctuality, licensing standards — because those fundamentals matter and because they deserve to be explained clearly and respectfully, not talked down to. We go deeper into boundaries, conflict resolution, mandatory reporting, FERPA, and ethical dilemmas because those are the areas where uncertainty creates risk — for children, for families, and for you.
I want to be straight with you about what this school is: it's professional development that treats you like the professional you are. It's not a compliance checklist you scroll through. It's a genuine investment in how you think about your role, your relationships, and your career. You'll come out of this with a personal code of conduct, practical communication tools, and real confidence around the hard stuff.
Whether you're brand new to childcare, a veteran looking to sharpen your foundation, or a director wanting something your whole team can grow from — you belong here. I'm glad you're taking your professionalism seriously. Let's get to work.
