Dawn Olson
If you've opened Microsoft Copilot, typed something in, and thought "okay… now what?" — you're in the right place.
Most people I talk to aren't sceptical about AI. They actually want to use it. They've heard what it can do, they can see it right there in their Microsoft 365 apps, and they genuinely want to get more done. The problem isn't motivation — it's that nobody has sat down and walked them through it in plain, practical terms. So they type a vague prompt, get a vague answer, shrug, and go back to doing things the slow way. That's such a shame, because the tools are genuinely capable — they just need to be pointed in the right direction.
That's what this school is for. I built it to be the resource I wish existed when I first started working with Copilot: straightforward, grounded in real tasks, and completely free of the tech-speak that makes so many AI courses feel like they were written for someone else. We start right at the beginning — what Copilot is, how it actually thinks, and how to get your Microsoft 365 setup sorted — and then we move through Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams one step at a time. Every section is built around the kinds of things you actually do at work, not made-up examples that don't translate to real life.
I want to be honest with you about something: Copilot won't do everything for you, and it works best when you understand how to work with it. That's why a big part of this school is about prompting — how to ask for what you want in a way that gets you a genuinely useful result. Once that clicks, everything else gets much easier. And by the time we build your personal prompt library at the end, you'll have templates designed around your job and your repetitive tasks — not generic examples from a textbook.
You don't need a tech background. You don't need to understand how AI works under the hood. You just need to be willing to try things alongside me, one lesson at a time. I'll be here every step of the way — patient, specific, and always focused on what's actually useful to you.
Come on in. Let's make your workday a bit easier.
