1

Why the Routine Stopped Working

A warm, grounding mindset reset that helps parents understand why their once-working routine has broken down. This module replaces confusion and self-blame with developmental clarity — so parents enter the rest of the course feeling seen, informed, and ready to move forward with confidence.

  • 1.1Your Baby Has Changed — And That's the Whole StoryIncluded
  • 1.2Ditching the 'Broken Baby' StoryIncluded
  • 1.3What a 'Good Routine' Actually Looks Like at This StageIncluded
2

The 4-Month Sleep Progression

A calm, science-backed deep dive into the most talked-about — and most misunderstood — shift in infant sleep. This module demystifies what's happening neurologically, sets realistic timelines, and gives parents their first practical, gentle responses so the 4-month progression feels manageable rather than catastrophic.

  • 2.1What's Actually Happening in Your Baby's BrainIncluded
  • 2.2Why It Feels Worse Than It Is — and When It Gets BetterIncluded
  • 2.3Your First Gentle Responses — What to Do Right NowIncluded
3

Wake Windows & Nap Transitions

The practical engine room of the course. Parents learn to read their baby's built-in biological timing, understand the 4→3→2 nap transition journey with clear, age-appropriate guidance, and get confident, gentle strategies for the short-nap challenge that exhausts so many families.

  • 3.1Understanding Wake Windows — Your Baby's Built-In TimerIncluded
  • 3.2The 4-to-3 Nap TransitionIncluded
  • 3.3The 3-to-2 Nap TransitionIncluded
  • 3.4Short Naps — Causes, Context, and Gentle FixesIncluded
4

Building a Predictable Daily Schedule

Parents move from understanding to building — creating a flexible, realistic daily rhythm that fits their baby's current developmental stage and their family's real life. The distinction between a rigid schedule and a nurturing rhythm is central here, and sample schedules give parents a concrete, adaptable starting point.

  • 4.1The Difference Between a Schedule and a RhythmIncluded
  • 4.2Sample Schedules by Age — 4, 6, 8, and 10+ MonthsIncluded
  • 4.3Feeding and Sleep — Getting the Timing RightIncluded
5

Gentle Settling Shifts

The hands-on heart of the course. Parents learn to build a calming, consistent bedtime routine, respond to their baby at night in ways that align with their values, and gently address the two most common pain points of this stage: bedtime resistance and the dreaded early morning wake.

  • 5.1Building a Bedtime Routine That Actually WorksIncluded
  • 5.2Responsive Settling — Techniques That Respect Your ValuesIncluded
  • 5.3Bedtime Battles — Why They Happen and How to Ease ThemIncluded
  • 5.4Early Morning Waking — Gentle Strategies for the 5am StartIncluded
6

Keeping the Rhythm & Parent Wellbeing

The final module ensures parents leave the course not just with skills, but with resilience. It honestly addresses what happens when the rhythm inevitably breaks — regressions, illness, travel — and centres the often-forgotten piece: the parent themselves. Parents finish feeling equipped for the long game, not just the next nap.

  • 6.1When the Rhythm Breaks — Regressions, Illness, and LeapsIncluded
  • 6.2Routines on the Road — Travel, Visitors, and Life ChangesIncluded
  • 6.3Caring for the Parent — Sleep Debt, Mental Load, and Finding SupportIncluded

Who it's for

Is this you?

The 4-month regression survivor

Your previously 'good sleeper' stopped sleeping at 16 weeks and you need to understand what happened — and how to gently find your way back.

The nap-transition navigator

You can feel that your baby is ready to drop a nap but you have no idea how to manage the shift without chaos eating your whole day.

The schedule rebuilder

Travel, illness, or a developmental leap blew your routine apart and you need a calm, practical plan to rebuild it without starting from scratch.

The gentle-approach parent

You've ruled out cry-it-out but you're not sure what responsive, flexible settling actually looks like in practice — and you want someone to show you.

The early-morning waker's parent

The 5am starts are breaking you and you need evidence-informed strategies to shift them without making everything else worse.

The burnt-out second-time parent

You know more this time around, but you're running on less — and you need a framework that works with your real life, not an idealised version of it.

Johnauy Farrington

If you're reading this in a fog of broken sleep, scrolling through your phone at 3am wondering where the routine went — I want you to know I see you. That particular exhaustion, the kind that sits behind your eyes and makes ordinary decisions feel impossible, is something I take very seriously. You came here because you're motivated, and because somewhere beneath the tiredness you still believe things can feel calmer. I believe that too, and I built this course to show you how.

What I've seen, again and again, is that the moment parents understand why their baby's sleep changed — not just that it changed, but the actual developmental reason behind it — something shifts. The panic softens. The 4-month progression stops feeling like a catastrophe and starts feeling like a stage with a shape and an end. That's where this course begins: with understanding, not with a list of rules to follow.

From there, we move into the practical — wake windows, nap transitions, sample schedules, bedtime routines — but always with flexibility built in. I'm not here to hand you a rigid timetable and tell you to stick to it. I'm here to help you understand the principles well enough that you can build something that works for your baby and your life. Because a routine that only works in ideal conditions isn't really a routine at all.

I also want to be honest with you about something: no course can guarantee an unbroken night by Thursday. Babies are not systems to be optimised, and the gentleness of this approach is a feature, not a workaround. What I can promise is that by the end of this course, you'll understand your baby more deeply, you'll have a clear and flexible framework to work with, and you'll feel less alone in the season you're in.

And because I believe the parent on this side of the nursery door matters just as much — the final part of this course is for you. Sleep debt, mental load, asking for support: we talk about all of it. Because the rhythm only sustains if you're part of it too.

If that sounds like what you need, I'd love to welcome you in. Come as you are — tired, hopeful, and ready. That's more than enough.
