Serve for the long haul without burning out
A faith-integrated health school for ministry leaders — because honoring your body is not a distraction from your calling, it's the foundation of it. Build the energy, strength, and sustainable rhythms that let you preach, lead, and love people well for decades.

Your body isn't a liability to manage — it's the instrument through which your entire calling is delivered, and it's worth treating that way.

A note from your teacher
Bud Welton
I want to start by saying something I wish someone had said to me much earlier in ministry: the fact that your body is struggling isn't a sign of weak faith. It's a sign that you've been giving everything you have to people you love — and that you've been doing it without the foundation your body needs to sustain that kind of giving.
I've sat with enough ministry leaders — and I've been one long enough — to know the particular texture of this exhaustion. It's not just tiredness. It's the Sunday crash that takes until Wednesday to climb out of. It's the cortisol that stays elevated because you're always one crisis text away from being needed. It's the meals eaten standing up, the workouts that never happen, the sleep that doesn't restore. And underneath all of it, often, is a theology — usually unexamined — that says your body is the least important part of you, and that caring for it is something you'll get around to when ministry slows down. Ministry doesn't slow down. You already know that.
What I've come to believe — and what this school is built on — is that the Incarnation changes everything about how we think about our bodies. The Word became flesh. Jesus got tired. He withdrew to rest. He ate meals with people. He wept. If embodiment is good enough for the Son of God, it is not a problem to be overcome in his servants. Your body is not the enemy of your calling. It is the instrument through which your calling is carried out — and it deserves the same thoughtful stewardship you bring to your preaching, your leadership, and your care for others.
That's what The Embodied Leader is about. Not fitness for its own sake. Not self-optimization or hustle culture with a cross on it. It's about rebuilding your relationship with your own body from the inside out — starting with theology, moving through the honest diagnosis of where you are right now, and then building practical rhythms for movement, fuel, rest, and energy that actually fit your ministry life. I'll walk beside you through all of it, not as a trainer talking at you, but as someone who cares about the longevity of your ministry and the wholeness of your life.
If you're ready to stop treating your body as the thing you'll take care of eventually — and start treating it as part of your faithful response to God — I'd be honored to walk this road with you. This is what sustainable ministry looks like. And you are worth it.
