Gary R Uremovich MS DMin PhD PA (Emeritus)

If you've found your way here, there's a good chance something has shifted. Maybe it was a diagnosis — yours or someone else's. Maybe it was a parent's decline, a friend's sudden death, or just a quiet moment where you thought: I really should get this sorted. Whatever brought you here, I want you to know that arriving at this door takes real courage. And I'm so glad you knocked.

I've spent years sitting with people and families at some of the most tender crossroads of their lives — helping them find words for things they've never said out loud, make decisions they've been putting off for years, and leave something behind that truly reflects who they are. What I've learned, over and over again, is that this work isn't morbid. It's one of the most loving things a person can do. For themselves. For the people they'll leave behind. For the relationships they want to protect.

Here's what I also know: most people don't avoid this planning because they're irresponsible or in denial. They avoid it because no one has ever walked them through it in a way that felt manageable. The legal language is intimidating. The financial pieces feel tangled. The emotional weight is real. That's what The Good Ending is here to change. Every section of this school is designed to take something that feels overwhelming and break it into steps you can actually take — at your own pace, in your own time, without needing a law degree or a financial background or a heart made of stone.

We'll cover the practical foundation together: the will, the advance directive, the healthcare proxy, the financial map your family will desperately need one day. But we'll also go to the places most end-of-life resources don't — the hard conversations with family and doctors, the legacy you want to leave behind, the experience of caregiving when someone you love is dying, and the grief that comes before, during, and after. Because a good ending isn't just paperwork. It's clarity. It's connection. It's being able to say: I showed up fully for the people I love, even at the end.

You don't have to have everything figured out before you begin. You just have to begin. I'll be right here with you.
