Little Readers: English & Phonics for Young Learners

Children are introduced to all 26 letters of the English alphabet, learning both letter names and their most common sounds (phonemes). Lessons are multisensory — children see, hear, say, and trace each letter.

With individual sounds mastered, children learn the magic of blending — pushing sounds together to form real words. This module focuses on CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) words like 'cat', 'dog', and 'sun'.

Some of the most common English words can't be sounded out phonetically — they must be recognised on sight. This module introduces the top 40 high-frequency sight words and builds reading fluency with simple texts.

Children expand their spoken and written vocabulary across six essential everyday topics: family, body parts, colours & shapes, animals, food, and numbers 1–20. Lessons are rich with visuals, songs, and games.

Children move from isolated words to real communication, learning how to ask and answer questions, greet people, and talk about themselves and their world using simple subject-verb-object sentences.

With core phonics and vocabulary in place, children tackle the next level: two-letter consonant combinations (sh, ch, th, ph), consonant blends (bl, gr, st), and the magic-e rule that creates long vowel sounds.
