Foundations — A2: Everyday English Unlocked
This module builds the essential bedrock of English for near-beginner learners. Students develop confidence in everyday spoken and written communication, covering core vocabulary, basic grammar structures, and the social language needed to navigate daily life. By the end, students can introduce themselves, describe routines, handle common real-world situations, and talk about the past and future — all with growing accuracy and fluency.

Building Bridges — B1: Real-World Communicator
This module takes students from solid A2 foundations into authentic, flexible communication. Learners tackle more nuanced grammar (present perfect, modals, conditionals), develop narrative skills, and engage with real-world texts and audio for the first time. By the end, students can hold extended conversations, understand the gist of authentic materials, express opinions confidently, and write structured paragraphs — all key B1 competencies that prepare them for B2-level independence.

Confident & Fluent — B2: Independent English User
This module brings students to genuine communicative independence. By the end, students can hold nuanced conversations, understand native-speed English in varied contexts, write professionally, and demonstrate the range and accuracy required for international certifications such as Cambridge B2 First or IELTS.

A note from your teacher
Pedro Miguel Rocha
I know exactly how it feels to almost speak a language. You understand more than you can say. You can read a sentence and get the meaning, but the moment someone speaks to you at normal speed, everything goes blurry. You sit down to write an email and the words don't come — or they do come, but they don't sound right, and you're not sure why.
That gap between "I know some English" and "I can actually use English" is real — and it's frustrating. What's worse is that most learning tools don't really address it. They give you vocabulary lists, grammar tables, or endless videos to watch. But knowing about English and being able to do things in English are two completely different things. That's the gap Speak Up English is built to close.
Every lesson in this school is designed around one simple idea: you learn a language by using it, not just studying it. From the very first module, you're speaking, listening, reading real texts, and writing for real purposes — on topics that actually matter in your life. Your daily routines. Your stories. Your opinions. Your professional messages. As you move through the three modules — from A2 foundations to B1 real-world communication to B2 independence — every new structure you learn gets put to work immediately.
There's no heavy jargon here. I won't ask you to memorise a grammar table and hope for the best. Instead, I'll show you how a structure sounds, when native speakers use it, and give you a chance to practise it yourself — right away. And when you hit a checkpoint at the end of A2 and B1, you'll actually see how far you've come. That moment of "wait, I can do this now" is one of my favourite things about teaching this way.
Whether you want to hold your own in everyday conversations, write confidently at work, understand what people are really saying in that podcast or meeting, or earn a qualification like IELTS or Cambridge B2 — this school gives you the structured path to get there. You don't need to be exceptional. You just need to be willing to practise.
Come and speak up. I'll be with you every step of the way.
