Who it's for

Is this you?

University provosts & academic deans

Responsible for institutional strategy, they need to design AI-augmented curricula and learning infrastructure that meets accreditation standards and faculty governance realities.

Corporate L&D executives

Leading enterprise learning functions, they must evaluate adaptive platforms, build the business case for AI-powered workforce development, and demonstrate measurable ROI to the C-suite.

Government & public-sector leaders

Managing federal, state, or municipal training programs, they navigate procurement law, ADA and FERPA compliance, and the demand to prove agency performance with rigorous data.

Policy researchers & think-tank directors

Translating evidence into actionable recommendations, they need the governance and ethics frameworks to assess AI learning systems and the communication tools to brief legislators and agency heads.

Cross-sector initiative leaders

Building consortia between universities, industry, and public agencies, they must negotiate shared data agreements, align divergent institutional incentives, and sustain collaborative learning infrastructure.

Senior faculty & academic researchers

Studying or teaching organizational learning, they want rigorous frameworks for AI-enhanced experiential design that hold up to peer scrutiny and translate into real institutional impact.

Val (Valdas) Samonis

If you are reading this, you probably already know that the landscape has shifted. The institutions you lead — whether a university, a government agency, a business unit, or a cross-sector initiative — are being asked to learn faster, decide better, and adapt more reliably than they were ever designed to do. And you are the person responsible for figuring out how.

What I have seen, working with senior leaders across these sectors, is that the obstacle is almost never a lack of intelligence or ambition. It is a structural gap: between what AI and data tools can genuinely do and what the people leading institutions actually know how to demand of them; between the technical teams building learning systems and the executives who need to govern, fund, and defend them; and between the aspiration of becoming a "data-driven organization" and the operational reality of getting a faculty senate, a federal procurement office, or a corporate board to move in the same direction.

The Experiential AI Lab was built to close those gaps — rigorously, practically, and without condescension. The curriculum does not ask you to become a data scientist. It asks you to become the kind of leader who can design an AI-augmented learning program, evaluate a vendor's claims with a critical eye, build the governance architecture that protects your institution and its learners, and then walk into a boardroom or a congressional briefing and make the case with clarity and confidence. Those are learnable skills. They are also, right now, genuinely rare.

What you will find here is graduate-seminar rigor applied to practitioner problems — cases before frameworks, evidence before prescription, and always a line drawn from concept to your specific institutional context. We will move from Dewey to deep learning, from learning analytics dashboards to FERPA compliance, from adaptive pathway design to 90-day change roadmaps. Every unit is built around the real decisions you are already being asked to make.

I want to be direct about something: this program will challenge your thinking. Some of the assumptions most organizations carry into AI adoption — about what "measurement" means, about whose interests learning systems serve, about what a "partnership" between a university and a federal agency actually requires — do not survive contact with the evidence. That productive discomfort is the point. The leaders who will define 21st-century institutions are the ones willing to sit with complexity long enough to act on it wisely.

If that sounds like the kind of practitioner you want to be, I'd be glad to have you in the Lab. The work starts now, and it matters.
