A note from your teacher
Maggie Kavanaugh
Friend, I want to start by saying something I genuinely believe: you are not here by accident.
If you've been sitting on a calling to share your faith through audio — whether that's a devotional podcast, a sermon series, interviews with believers in your community, or something you can't quite name yet — that pull you feel is worth taking seriously. I've seen what happens when someone steps into that calling with clarity and confidence. Lives are touched. Communities form around shared faith. And the person behind the microphone is transformed in the process just as much as the listener.
I also know what holds most people back, because I've walked through it myself. The technical overwhelm is real — microphones, RSS feeds, hosting platforms, editing software — it can feel like you need a seminary degree in audio production just to get started. And then there's the quieter fear: Who am I to have a podcast? Is my story significant enough? Will anyone actually listen? I want to speak directly to that fear and tell you: the enemy of your ministry is not imperfection. It's silence.
That's why I built Faith On Air the way I did — not as a dry, jargon-heavy tech course, but as a guided, step-by-step journey that honors both your calling and your limitations. We start with discernment — identifying your unique faith angle, your target listener, your show's name and mission — before we ever touch a microphone. We move through audio setup, episode crafting, and a publishing process that I've made as simple and as clear as I possibly can. And we don't stop at launch, because a podcast that reaches people and then disappears isn't a ministry — it's a missed opportunity.
I want you to finish this course with more than a podcast. I want you to have a platform — one that is distinctly yours, grounded in scripture and story, built for the long haul, and capable of reaching people your physical community never could. Whether you're a pastor, a ministry leader, a Bible study teacher, or simply a believer with a story worth telling, there is room for your voice in this space.
The world has enough noise. It needs more light. Come add yours.
