Anatomy, Physiology & Kinesiology
Establishes the essential science foundation for all clinical work. Students build accurate mental maps of the human body — its structures, functions, and movement systems — at the depth required by the MBLEx and Florida licensure. This module is sequenced first because every downstream topic (pathology, technique, assessment, and law) depends on fluent anatomical literacy.
- 1.1Skeletal System & Bony LandmarksIncluded
- 1.2Muscular System — Structure, Function & PalpationIncluded
- 1.3Nervous, Endocrine & Special Senses SystemsComing soon
- 1.4Cardiovascular, Lymphatic & Respiratory SystemsComing soon
- 1.5Integumentary, Digestive, Urinary & Reproductive SystemsComing soon
Pathology, Contraindications & Clinical Reasoning
Builds the clinical decision-making framework that separates safe, effective practitioners from risky ones. Students learn to recognize pathological conditions, classify them as absolute or local contraindications, and reason through appropriate treatment modifications. Sequenced after anatomy so students can accurately map conditions to the structures they already know. Pharmacology is included here because medication awareness directly informs contraindication decisions made before every session.

- 2.2Musculoskeletal & Neuromuscular PathologiesComing soon

- 2.4Pharmacology Essentials for Massage TherapistsComing soon
Massage Theory, Techniques & Modalities
Develops students' hands-on technical competency across all modalities required for Florida licensure and MBLEx application domains. Sequenced after anatomy and pathology so students always perform techniques with clinical awareness of what they are affecting and for whom it is safe. This is the highest hands-on hour module, where students accumulate the majority of their supervised practice table time.

Client Assessment, Treatment Planning & Communication
Bridges clinical knowledge and hands-on skill into the full professional workflow: intake, assessment, planning, execution, documentation, and therapeutic relationship management. Sequenced after anatomy, pathology, and techniques so that students can immediately apply assessment findings to real treatment decisions. Includes the professional communication and ethics content required by Florida and the MBLEx, placed here in context rather than isolated in the law module.

Florida Laws, Sanitation, Business Practice & Professional Development
Prepares students to operate as fully compliant, professionally sustainable Florida-licensed massage therapists. Covers Chapter 480 Florida Statutes and all administrative rules governing licensure, renewal, scope of practice, and disciplinary processes. Integrates OSHA and Florida-mandated sanitation standards, practical business launch skills, and personal sustainability — the career competencies that determine whether a therapist thrives long-term. Sequenced after clinical modules so students can contextualize legal rules within the practice they have already built.

MBLEx Preparation & Florida Licensure Capstone
The culminating module that consolidates all prior learning into targeted MBLEx readiness and Florida licensure preparation. Sequenced last so that every domain review, practice exam, and clinical evaluation draws on the full depth of knowledge students have built. Students exit this module having completed multiple full-length practice exams, identified and resolved their remaining knowledge gaps, demonstrated clinical competency to licensure standard, and submitted a complete Florida license application.

Marco Lee
If you're reading this, there's a good chance you already know massage therapy is the right path for you. Maybe you've experienced firsthand what a skilled therapist can do for someone in pain, or for someone who just needed to feel cared for. You want to be that person for others. What you're not sure about yet is how to get from where you are right now — with zero credentials and maybe some uncertainty about science — to standing in a treatment room with a Florida license on the wall and a full client schedule.
That gap is exactly what Florida Massage Academy exists to close.
I designed this 600-hour program because I believe that rigorous and supportive are not opposites. Too many aspiring therapists either get thrown into dense coursework with no scaffolding and lose confidence early, or they coast through a program that doesn't really prepare them for the MBLEx or for real clinical situations. Neither of those outcomes is acceptable to me. So every lesson in this curriculum is sequenced intentionally — you'll learn anatomy before pathology, pathology before treatment planning, and technique before you ever touch a client — because that's the order that actually builds competence and confidence at the same time.
You're going to learn things in this program that will surprise you. You'll learn to palpate muscles by name and describe their actions with precision. You'll learn to read a health intake form and spot a contraindication before it becomes a problem. You'll learn why body mechanics matter for your own longevity in this profession just as much as they matter for your client's safety. You'll study Florida law closely enough that Chapter 480 won't feel like fine print — it'll feel like the professional foundation it actually is. And when you sit down to take the MBLEx, you'll have already taken it several times in practice, domain by domain, so the real thing feels familiar.
This program asks something real of you. Six hundred hours is a serious commitment, and the material is genuinely substantive. But you don't have to figure any of it out alone. The curriculum is your roadmap, and I'm here with you at every step — explaining, reinforcing, and guiding you toward the finish line. Your license is closer than you think. Let's build the foundation that gets you there.
