1

Believe — Life in Christ

The foundational stage of the discipleship journey. Students move from knowing about Jesus to knowing Him personally — grounding their identity, daily life, and spiritual rhythms in a living relationship with Christ. Rooted in Adventist theology, this module establishes the Gospel as the starting point and sustaining power of all discipleship.

  • 1.1Who Is Jesus? Meeting the Real ChristIncluded
  • 1.2Grace, Salvation, and the Gospel — What Jesus Has DoneIncluded
  • 1.3Abiding — How to Actually Walk With Jesus DailyIncluded
  • 1.4Identity in Christ — Who You Are Because of Whose You AreIncluded
  • 1.5Spiritual Practices as a Way of Life — Building Christlike HabitsIncluded
2

Gather — Life Together

Discipleship is never a solo journey. This stage moves students into the theology and practice of authentic Christian community — what it means to be the Church, not just attend it. Drawing on Adventist ecclesiology and the New Testament picture of covenant community, students learn to belong, bear burdens, worship together, and navigate the hard, holy work of staying in relationship through conflict and forgiveness.

  • 2.1Why We Need Each Other — The Theology of Christian CommunityIncluded
  • 2.2Belonging Before Believing — Creating Spaces Where People Feel SafeIncluded
  • 2.3Bearing One Another's Burdens — Pastoral Care in Everyday LifeIncluded

3

Serve — Life on Mission

Having been grounded in Christ and rooted in community, disciples are now sent outward. This stage moves students from the interior life to the missional life — discovering their gifts and calling, living incarnationally in their everyday world, sharing their story, and engaging in justice and compassion. The Adventist distinctive of the Three Angels' Messages is explored as a present-tense, whole-life missional calling rather than merely a future-focused theological category.

  • 3.1You Are Called — Discovering Your God-Given Gifts and PurposeIncluded
  • 3.2Incarnational Mission — Living Like Jesus in Your Everyday WorldIncluded
  • 3.3Your Story, God's Story — Sharing Faith Naturally in Everyday ConversationsIncluded
  • 3.4Justice, Compassion, and the Whole Gospel — Serving the World Jesus LovesIncluded
  • 3.5Adventist Identity and Mission — The Three Angels and Today's WorldIncluded
4

Multiply — Making Disciples

The final and most outward stage of the journey: becoming a disciple who makes disciples. Students are equipped not just to share the Gospel but to intentionally walk alongside others through the full Believe–Gather–Serve–Multiply pathway. This stage addresses discipleship as a culture — in families, small groups, and churches — and culminates in a commissioning experience that sends students as reproducers of what they have received.

  • 4.1The Great Commission Revisited — Making Disciples, Not Just ConvertsIncluded
  • 4.2Walking Alongside — The Posture of a Discipleship CompanionIncluded
  • 4.3Leading a Discipleship Group — Facilitation, Not PerformanceIncluded
  • 4.4Reproducing Disciples — Building a Culture of Multiplication in Family, Group, and ChurchIncluded
  • 4.5Commissioning — Sent as Disciples Who Make DisciplesIncluded

CJ Cousins

Maybe you've been a Christian for a while — attending church, reading your Bible, trying to pray more consistently — and yet something still feels thin. You know about Jesus, but the walk feels more like a shuffle. You're not sure you'd know how to disciple someone else, and honestly, you're not even sure you feel fully discipled yourself.

Or maybe you're newer to faith, full of questions you're not sure are allowed in church. You're drawn to Jesus, but the gap between Sunday morning and Monday morning feels wide, and you're wondering if there's a pathway — something with handholds — that could help you actually grow.

I've been on both sides of that feeling. And what I've come to believe, with everything in me, is that following Jesus was never meant to be a solo performance or a passive pew experience. It's a journey walked together, in real community, anchored in Scripture, shaped by spiritual practices, and sent outward in mission. That's what this school is built to give you.

The four stages — Believe, Gather, Serve, and Multiply — aren't arbitrary boxes. They trace the actual shape of a life given to Jesus. We begin by meeting Him honestly: not a Sunday-school silhouette, but the real Christ of Scripture. We learn to abide — to let faith become the rhythm of our days, not just the event of our weeks. We move into community, not the comfortable kind where we stay strangers, but the kind where we bear one another's burdens and forgive one another when it's hard. We go outward in mission, discovering the gifts God tucked inside us and learning to share our story naturally in everyday conversations. And then — and this is the part that tends to change everything — we learn to walk alongside someone else and do it all again.

I won't pretend I have everything figured out. I come to you as a fellow pilgrim, not an expert on a platform. But I come with deep conviction that this pathway works — because it's the one Jesus modeled, and because Scripture has proven trustworthy every time I've staked something real on it. If you're ready to move from belief as a set of facts to belief as a way of being, this school has a place for you. Pull up a chair. Let's walk this together.
