Get Home — and Stay Home
The GBB Reentry Training walks you through every step of release — from the last days inside to full independence — with plain-language guidance, state-specific resources, and the tools to never get lost in the system again.

You don't need the system to be fair — you need to know exactly how it works, and that's what I'm going to show you.

Who it's for
Is this you?
Returning citizen preparing for release
He's weeks away from release and wants a real plan — not a pamphlet — covering ID, housing, parole check-in, and day one.
Family member supporting a loved one
Her son is coming home soon and she wants to understand benefits, transitional housing, and how to actually help without making things harder.
Reentry case manager or social worker
She manages a caseload across multiple counties and needs a structured, state-aware navigation system she can apply with every client she serves.
Recently released individual (first 90 days)
He's out but still getting his footing — juggling parole reporting, a job search, and family reconnection with no clear roadmap.
Faith-based or community volunteer
She mentors returning citizens through her congregation and wants credible, practical knowledge to give the people she serves real, reliable guidance.
Workforce or benefits navigator
He works at a workforce development center and regularly serves clients with records — he needs the reentry-specific context his general training never covered.

A note from your teacher
CEO Jae
If you're reading this, you already know how broken the reentry system is.
Maybe you're counting down days until your own release and you're scared because nobody has sat down with you and explained what actually happens. Maybe your son, daughter, sibling, or partner is coming home and you want to be ready — but every time you try to research housing or benefits, you end up with conflicting information and outdated phone numbers. Or maybe you're already doing this work as a navigator, case manager, or volunteer, and you're tired of piecing together training from a dozen different sources, none of which account for the state you're actually working in.
I built the GBB Reentry Institute because the information people need to succeed after release exists — it's just scattered, buried in government websites, filtered through organizations that don't always communicate with each other, and delivered (when it's delivered at all) in language that assumes you already know the system. That's backwards. You shouldn't have to be an expert to navigate a system that affects your entire life.
What we built here is the school I wish existed. It covers the full arc of reentry — from the final weeks inside, through release day, through the first 90 days, and out to long-term independence. We go deep on the things that actually derail people: not knowing your supervision conditions before you sign them, losing Medicaid coverage during the gap between release and application, not knowing that your state still bans felony SNAP recipients while the state next door doesn't, not knowing how to answer the background question in a job interview without disqualifying yourself before the conversation starts. We cover all of it, in plain language, with real tools you can use the same day.
This program respects you. It doesn't talk down to you, doesn't make assumptions about who you are or what choices you've made, and doesn't pretend the system is fair. What it does is give you every practical advantage that information can provide — because when you know what you're walking into, you walk in ready.
You don't have to figure this out alone. That's what we're here for. Come learn with us.
