It's about how the subject was presented. Geometry, more than almost any area of mathematics, depends on being shown things clearly. When it's taught well, it's one of the most visually satisfying, logically rewarding subjects in all of school math. When it's taught poorly, it feels like a foreign language with no dictionary.
I built Geometry Unlocked because I kept seeing the same pattern: students (and adults) who weren't struggling with intelligence — they were struggling with explanations.
