If you've felt drawn to read the Greek New Testament — really read it, not just glance at the transliterations — you already know the alphabet is where you have to begin. And if you've tried to begin before, you may have noticed that most Greek textbooks treat the alphabet as a brief formality to rush through before the "real" grammar begins. That gap is exactly why this course exists.

I built Greek Alphabet Gateway for the learner who wants to start correctly. The person who doesn't want to fake their way through the first page and hope they catch up later. The seminarian who wants to walk into their first Greek course already steady. The lifelong Bible student who has been putting this off because no resource ever made it feel truly accessible. You deserve a course that treats the alphabet with the same seriousness you're bringing to it.

Here is what we do together: we go through all 24 letters — their printed forms in uppercase and lowercase, their names, their individual sounds — carefully and without hurry. We work through the vowels, the consonants, and the diphthongs. We cover the three pronunciation systems you'll encounter in academic life, so nothing catches you off guard. And then we move into the reading conventions that appear on every page of a printed Greek New Testament: breathing marks, accent marks, punctuation, syllable division. These aren't footnotes. They're part of the text, and you'll know exactly what each one means.

By the end, you'll be doing something real: sounding out Greek words, reading short passages aloud, and opening a lexicon or interlinear text without that familiar feeling of being lost. That's a genuine transformation — not fluency, but a solid, honest foundation. And a foundation built properly changes everything that comes after.

I want to be straightforward with you: this course won't teach you Greek grammar or give you an extensive vocabulary. What it will give you is the confident, complete alphabet knowledge that every serious Greek student needs and that too few resources take the time to build. If you're ready to begin — really begin — I'd be glad to take you through it, one letter at a time.
