LATISHA COLEMAN

LATISHA COLEMAN

If you are reading this, you are probably standing at an important crossroads. Maybe you have been searching for a healthcare career that is meaningful, in demand, and genuinely within reach — without years of schooling standing between you and your first paycheck. Maybe you already know a little about sterile processing and you are looking for a program that will take the subject as seriously as you do. Or maybe someone pointed you in this direction and you are still trying to figure out whether this field is really for you.

I want to be direct with you: sterile processing is not a backup plan. It is a specialty. Every surgical instrument that reaches a patient has been decontaminated, inspected, assembled, packaged, sterilized, stored, and tracked by a sterile processing technician. That chain of custody is patient safety made tangible — and it requires people who understand what they are doing and why. The Haus of Healthcare Academy SPT program exists because this work deserves to be taught with the rigor and respect it demands.

What I built here is a structured, comprehensive, step-by-step program that does not assume you already know the language of healthcare or the layout of a sterile processing department. We start at the beginning — what sterile processing is, what the role looks like, what the department does — and we build systematically from there. By the time you reach sterilization science, quality assurance, and the documentation standards that regulatory expectations require, you will have the foundational understanding to make sense of all of it. Nothing is dropped in your lap without context.

I also want to address something directly: certification. Preparing you to pursue the CBSPD C.S.P.D.T. exam is a serious objective of this program, and we treat it seriously. The curriculum covers the knowledge domains that exam tests. We close with dedicated exam-readiness content — strategy, review, and the kind of focused preparation that first-time candidates need. At the same time, I will always be honest with you: the CBSPD is an independent organization with its own eligibility requirements, including work-experience criteria, and those are theirs to set. What I can give you is the knowledge foundation to be ready when you meet them.

This program is for people who are committed — to the field, to the patients it ultimately serves, and to doing the work correctly. If that is you, I am glad you are here. Let's get to work.
