Stop managing the pattern. Heal what started it.
Heal at the Root is a self-paced inner-work school for women who are done white-knuckling their way through people-pleasing, perfectionism, and overgiving — and ready to understand where those patterns came from, and gently, honestly, change them for good.

"I'm not going to ask you to fix yourself — I'm going to help you understand yourself, and that's where everything actually changes."
— Sarah Gordy

What you'll learn
What you'll be able to do
- Identify the specific recurring patterns in your life — people-pleasing, perfectionism, avoidance, or overgiving — and understand what originally made them useful
- Apply Sarah Gordy's Four A's framework (Awareness, Acceptance, Action, Accountability) as a repeatable map for any behavior you want to change
- Distinguish between the thoughts, emotions, and body sensations that drive automatic responses, and create a pause between trigger and reaction
- Set meaningful boundaries and communicate your needs without guilt, using practical scripts and daily integration rituals
- Build a personalized self-care and accountability structure that works with your real life — not the life you think you should have
- Reconnect with your own inner knowing and a felt sense of worthiness that does not depend on achievement, approval, or anyone else's permission

The Lifelong People-Pleaser
She's spent decades making herself easy to love and is only now asking what she actually needs.
The Self-Aware Avoider
She can name exactly what she does and why — but the naming alone hasn't changed anything, and she's ready for a method that goes deeper.
The Woman in Transition
A divorce, an empty nest, a career shift — something has cracked open a window for real change, and she wants to step through it intentionally.
The Therapy Graduate
She's done meaningful therapeutic work and wants a structured, self-paced practice to keep integrating those insights into daily life.

Sarah Gordy
If you've found your way here, I'm guessing you've already done a lot of trying. You've read the books, maybe seen a therapist, maybe talked yourself in circles with a trusted friend. You know, intellectually, that you don't have to earn your place in every room. You know you're allowed to say no. You know perfectionism is just fear wearing a very productive disguise.
And yet. The pattern comes back. The email gets sent at midnight to avoid disappointing someone. The boundary dissolves the moment it's tested. The inner critic speaks up right on cue. And you're left wondering why knowing better hasn't translated into being different.
I built Heal at the Root because I kept seeing the same thing: women who were insightful, self-aware, and genuinely willing to do the work — but who were missing a structure that took them all the way through. Not just awareness (though that's where we begin), but acceptance of what the pattern has actually been doing for them, followed by real, practiced action, and then the kind of accountability that feels like care rather than pressure. That's the Four A's framework — and it's the spine of everything we do here.
What I want you to know is that I'm not going to ask you to be positive about things that hurt, or to forgive on a timeline that isn't yours, or to arrive at some shiny, healed version of yourself that I'm dangling as the finish line. This work is honest. It asks you to get curious about the parts of yourself you've been managing and avoiding, and to bring them some real compassion — not the performed kind, but the kind that comes from actually understanding what those parts have been carrying.
You are already whole. Not when you stop people-pleasing, not when you stop seeking approval, not on the other side of this school — right now, as you are. That's not a throwaway affirmation. It's the ground we build everything on. And I would love to walk that ground with you.
Come in. There's room for all of you here.
