1

The Roots of Ho'oponopono — History, Culture & Core Philosophy

Students ground themselves in the authentic Hawaiian origins of Ho'oponopono before touching the practice itself. Understanding where the ritual came from — and why it worked — gives every later technique cultural integrity and personal depth. This module is the essential prerequisite that prevents the practice from becoming a superficial mantra.

  • 1.1Ancient Hawaii and the Birth of Ho'oponoponoIncluded
  • 1.2From Communal Ritual to Inner Work — Ihaleakalā Hew Len and the Modern MethodIncluded
  • 1.3The Worldview Beneath the Words — Memory, Data & the Subconscious MindIncluded
2

The Four Phrases — Learning, Feeling & Embodying the Core Practice

With cultural and philosophical roots firmly established, students now meet the living heart of the course: the four phrases. This module moves deliberately from intellectual understanding to felt experience to repeatable ritual, ensuring the practice is embodied rather than merely memorized. Sequencing here is critical — meaning before sound, feeling before routine, single session before habit.

  • 2.1Meeting the Four Phrases — Meaning, Sequence & IntentionIncluded
  • 2.2Your First Ho'oponopono Session — A Guided Full PracticeIncluded
  • 2.3Building the Daily Ritual — Consistency, Environment & Personal AnchorsIncluded
3

Releasing Resentment, Guilt & Grief — The Forgiveness Sequences

With the core practice established and a daily ritual beginning, students now direct the four phrases toward specific, often long-held emotional wounds. This module is structured in deliberate sequence — forgiving others before self, then addressing loss — because resentment toward others is typically the most accessible entry point, while self-forgiveness requires the confidence built from earlier cleaning. Grief is placed last as the most complex and non-linear process.

  • 3.1Forgiving Others — Releasing Resentment Without CondoningIncluded
  • 3.2Forgiving Yourself — Dissolving Guilt and ShameIncluded
  • 3.3Grieving and Releasing — Ho'oponopono for LossIncluded
4

Healing Relationships — Applying Ho'oponopono to Family, Partners & Colleagues

Students now extend their cleaned inner landscape outward into the most demanding arena: their living relationships. The inside-out model established in Module 1 is applied with practical specificity across three relationship domains — ancestral/family, romantic/intimate, and professional. A critical prerequisite check ensures students have done sufficient personal cleaning before attempting relational cleaning, preventing the bypass of individual emotional work.

  • 4.1The Inside-Out Relationship Model — Healing Without the Other Person's AgreementIncluded
  • 4.2Family Wounds and Ancestral Patterns — Cleaning Across GenerationsIncluded
  • 4.3Romantic and Workplace Relationships — Practical Conflict CleaningIncluded
5

Cleaning the Subconscious — Dissolving Limiting Beliefs & Reclaiming Self-Worth

With emotional wounds and relational patterns substantially addressed, students now go deeper: to the subconscious programs — limiting beliefs about self-worth, capability, deservingness, and identity — that silently govern behavior and self-talk. This module introduces advanced cleaning tools beyond the four phrases, connecting Ho'oponopono's 'cleaning' concept to modern cognitive and somatic psychology. Self-worth reclamation is sequenced last within the module because it is the cumulative fruit of all the cleaning that has come before.

  • 5.1Identifying Your Limiting Programs — The Beliefs Running in the BackgroundIncluded
  • 5.2Advanced Cleaning Tools — Beyond the Four PhrasesIncluded
  • 5.3Self-Worth and Forgiveness — Reclaiming Your Innate 'I Am'Included
6

Living Ho'oponopono — Integration, Resilience & a Lifelong Practice

The final module weaves everything learned into the fabric of daily life. Students move from scheduled practice sessions to spontaneous real-time cleaning, from processed past wounds to present-moment decision-making, and from a course-length routine to a personally designed lifelong meditation practice. The module closes with a formal integration ceremony — echoing the pani (closing prayer) of the original Hawaiian ritual — honoring both the journey completed and the one ahead.

  • 6.1Real-Time Cleaning — Using Ho'oponopono in the Heat of the MomentIncluded
  • 6.2Ho'oponopono and Decision-Making — Cleaning Before You ChooseIncluded
  • 6.3Your Personal Forgiveness Meditation Routine — Designing for LifeIncluded
  • 6.4Integration Ceremony and the Ho'oponopono Way ForwardIncluded

If you're here, I imagine something has been weighing on you for a while. Maybe it's a relationship that never quite healed — words said or unsaid, distance that grew where closeness used to live. Maybe it's something you carry toward yourself: a quiet, persistent sense that you should have done better, been better. Or maybe it's grief, shapeless and stubborn, that no amount of time has fully eased.

I know that weight. And I also know how frustrating it is to want to forgive — to understand intellectually that letting go would free you — and still feel completely stuck. That gap between knowing and feeling is exactly what Ho'oponopono was made to bridge.

I came to this practice not as a scholar first, but as someone seeking. What I found was something older and more patient than any modern self-help framework: a tradition rooted in the Hawaiian understanding that peace is our natural state, and that the emotional turbulence we carry is not who we are — it is data we have the power to clear. That insight changed how I see everything: my relationships, my own inner voice, even how I make decisions. I built this school because I wanted to share that shift — carefully, honestly, and with full respect for the culture it comes from.

This curriculum doesn't ask you to be spiritual in any particular way, or to bypass your pain with positive thinking. It walks you, step by step, through the real history and philosophy of Ho'oponopono, through the practice of the four phrases until they live in your body and not just your mind, through forgiveness sequences for releasing resentment toward others and — perhaps harder — toward yourself. It takes you into the subconscious patterns that keep you looping through the same emotional struggles, and it gives you real tools to clean them. And then it helps you put it all together into a practice you can actually sustain for life.

You don't have to have it all figured out to begin. You just have to be willing to look inward with a little more gentleness. I'll be right here to guide you the whole way. Come as you are — the practice meets you exactly where you are.
