I want to start by saying something important: if you are sitting at a U, 1, 2, 3, or 4 right now, that grade does not define how smart you are. It tells me something much more specific — that nobody has yet shown you how the IGCSE Chemistry examiner thinks. That is not your fault. And it is completely fixable.
I have seen it happen over and over. A student understands the chemistry when you talk to them. They can tell you roughly what happens in a reaction, or why a substance dissolves. But the moment they sit in front of an extended question, something goes wrong. The words don't come out right. The answer feels too short, or too vague, or just... off. They lose the marks, they lose the confidence, and they start to believe they are simply "bad at chemistry." They are not. They are missing a method. That is all.
That is exactly why I built IGCSE Chemistry Rescue the way I did. Every lesson is written the way I wish someone had explained things to me when I was struggling — short sentences, real words, no unnecessary jargon. When I do introduce an exam term, I explain it in plain English first, then show you the exam version. Then we practise it. The Point–Evidence–Link framework at the heart of this programme is not complicated. Once you see it, you will start spotting it everywhere in mark schemes, and you will never write a blank, rambling extended answer again.
