Master Juniper Networks from CLI to production
Hands-on lab training across Junos OS, OSPF/BGP/IS-IS, MPLS, SRX security, and network automation — structured to take you from first commit to JNCIA/JNCIS exam-ready, with zero hand-waving.

"I don't teach you what the commands are — I teach you what they mean, and what to do when they don't do what you expected."

Who it's for
Is this you?
Cisco-certified crossovers
Experienced with IOS/IOS-XE but entering a Juniper shop and needs to translate routing and security knowledge into Junos architecture fast.
JNCIA exam candidates
Targeting their first Juniper certification and wants structured lab practice that goes beyond flashcards and into real CLI competency.
Enterprise network engineers
Responsible for production routing and switching infrastructure and needs to add credible Juniper design and troubleshooting skills to their toolkit.
Network automation engineers
Already comfortable scripting but needs Juniper-specific context — PyEZ, NETCONF/YANG, and Ansible for Junos — to automate real deployments.
Senior sysadmins moving into NetEng
Solid TCP/IP and Linux foundation, now stepping into dedicated network engineering roles where Juniper platforms are part of the stack.
ISP and carrier engineers
Working in or moving toward service provider environments where MPLS, traffic-engineered LSPs, and BGP/MPLS VPNs are daily operational realities.

A note from your teacher
Scott Edwards
If you've spent any time in a network operations environment, you know the feeling: you can make the network work, but you want to understand it — every commit, every policy term, every label-switched path — the way a senior engineer who built it from scratch understands it. That gap between "it's up" and "I know exactly why it's up" is what this school is designed to close.
I built this curriculum the way I wish I had learned Juniper: in order, with purpose, with real CLI output at every step. Not a survey of features, and not a certification cram guide — a structured path that starts with how Junos actually thinks (the configuration hierarchy, the commit model, the routing table architecture) and builds outward from that foundation. When you understand why Junos works the way it does, configuring OSPF areas or BGP communities stops feeling like memorization and starts feeling like engineering.
The harder sections — MPLS traffic engineering, Layer 3 VPNs, SRX security policy, the automation stack — are where I've seen engineers stall in their careers because the resources available are either too shallow or too scattered. I've worked through those gaps carefully here. RSVP-TE LSPs, BGP/MPLS L3VPN design, NETCONF/YANG interactions, PyEZ operations, Ansible playbooks with Jinja2 templating — each is introduced with the context you need to actually use it, not just recognize it on an exam.
I want to be direct about what this school will and won't do. It won't pass the exam for you — no school can. What it will do is put real Junos configuration experience under your hands across routing, switching, security, and automation, so that when you sit for JNCIA or JNCIS, you're recalling things you've done, not things you've read. That's the kind of preparation that holds up in a production environment after the exam is over.
If you're ready to work precisely, lab consistently, and build the kind of Juniper depth that makes you genuinely valuable on a network engineering team — I'm glad you're here. Let's get into it.
