Maggie Kavanaugh
I want to start with something honest: most leaders in the church were handed responsibility before they were handed tools. You were called — and then you were thrown in. Maybe someone saw something in you, gave you a role, and expected you to figure it out. And you have, mostly. But there's probably a version of yourself as a leader that you haven't fully stepped into yet. A version that leads with more confidence, more clarity, and more peace. That's who this school is for.
I've spent years sitting with leaders in ministry — pastors carrying more than they should, volunteers burning out quietly, directors who are gifted but unsure how to translate that gift into real influence. The pattern I keep seeing isn't a lack of faith. It's a lack of formation. We know the theology. We believe the calling is real. But no one ever walked us through how to build a leadership philosophy, how to develop the people around us, or how to navigate conflict without losing relationships or losing ourselves.
Lead with Faith is my attempt to close that gap. We start at the foundation — the biblical principles that make Christian leadership distinct: servant leadership that's not just a posture but a practice, stewardship that reminds us we're managing what belongs to God, and humility that turns out to be one of the most powerful forces in any room. From there, we move into identity — helping you articulate your calling, your values, and your unique leadership style in a way you can actually put on paper and live by.
We also go to the places most leadership content skips: your soul. The spiritual disciplines, the accountability relationships, the rhythms of rest that keep you sharp and honest and whole. Because you cannot pour from empty. And I've watched too many gifted leaders flame out not because they lacked vision, but because they neglected the inner life that vision depends on.
And yes — we tackle the hard stuff. Conflict. Criticism. Failure. These aren't interruptions to your leadership journey. They are the journey. We'll work through biblical frameworks that give you a language and a process for navigating those moments with grace and with integrity. And then we'll zoom back out to the big picture: how to see potential in the people around you, develop them intentionally, and cast a vision so clear and compelling that your whole team wants to run toward it together.
You were called to this. I believe that. And this school exists to make sure you're genuinely equipped for it — not just inspired, but ready. I'd love to walk this road with you.
