If you've ever sat down to "write your curriculum" and stared at a blank page — or cobbled together Pinterest activities hoping they add up to something meaningful — I want you to know: that's not a personal failure. It's a gap in how our field trains educators. We're taught to love children (and we do, deeply), but we're rarely taught how to build the intentional, developmentally grounded learning environment they deserve. That's exactly what Little Minds by Design is here to change.

I created this school because I believe that every child in every setting — whether that's a beautifully equipped center or a cozy home daycare — deserves a curriculum that was designed for them. Not a purchased boxed kit. Not a set of worksheets. A living, responsive, joyful curriculum built by an educator who understands how children grow, what they need at each stage, and how to create the conditions where that growth can flourish. That educator can be you.

Inside this school, we start with the foundations — the theories, the standards, the big ideas that explain why play-based, child-centered learning works. Then we walk through every age band from birth to five, so you understand the milestones that should be shaping your planning. From there, you'll build your own curriculum framework: choosing an approach that fits your setting, writing real learning goals, planning across all developmental domains, and making sure your curriculum is truly inclusive. You'll learn how to design a daily schedule that feels structured and calm rather than chaotic, and how to create sensory-rich environments for little learners — without spending a fortune.

One of my favorite parts of this school is the observation and documentation work, because that's where curriculum gets alive. When you know how to watch children with intention and document what you see, you stop guessing what they need. You stop rotating activities on a calendar and start responding to actual children in front of you. That shift — from planner to observer — is one of the most powerful transformations you can make as an early childhood professional.
