Dear fellow parent,

I know the feeling of standing in your living room, looking at a pile of wooden toys and a browser full of Pinterest boards, and thinking: I know there's a better way to do this — I just can't figure out what it is. You love the Montessori philosophy. You love the idea of slow mornings, nature walks, and a home that hums with quiet purposeful activity. But between the reality of toddler life and the overwhelming amount of information out there, it's hard to know where to start — or whether you're doing any of it "right."

That uncertainty is what Little Roots was built to dissolve.

I created this curriculum because I believe the most powerful learning environment a toddler can have is a home — not a classroom. Not a perfectly curated Instagram feed. A real home, with real rhythms, tended by a parent who's paying attention. You already have the most important ingredient: you know your child. What I've built here gives you everything else — the Montessori foundations explained in plain language, the prepared environment guidance that works on a real budget, the seasonal lesson plans and printable materials so you never start from a blank page, and the observation skills that let you follow your child's curiosity wherever it leads on any given Tuesday.

The seasonal framework is close to my heart because I've seen what it does for toddlers and families alike. When a child watches the leaves change, collects autumn seeds on a nature walk, and then finds those same seeds on their activity shelf the next morning — that's not just a lesson. That's a thread of meaning that runs through their whole year. That's the kind of learning that becomes part of who they are.

I also want to be honest with you about one thing: some days the plan will fall apart.
