Prologue

  • 1.1Enter The Story (Holy Scriptures)Included
2

Pre-Creation: Before the Story Began

Establishes the eternal, pre-story foundation of the entire biblical narrative. Learners discover that before anything existed, God was — a triune community of overflowing love with sovereign purpose. This module answers the foundational question: Who is the God whose story we are entering? It provides the theological bedrock for every subsequent module and ensures learners never view Scripture as merely a human document but as the self-revelation of an eternal, loving King.

  • 2.1The Eternal God Who Is LoveIncluded
  • 2.2The Trinity: A Community of LoveIncluded
  • 2.3God's Reign: What Kingdom MeansIncluded
3

Creation & Fall: The Story Breaks

Moves from the eternal God into the opening acts of time: God's 'very good' creation and humanity's catastrophic rejection of his reign. Learners discover the dignity and design of human beings as image-bearers, the nature and consequence of sin, and the universal need that makes the Gospel necessary. Critically, this module ends not in despair but in anticipation — because the God revealed in Module 1 is the same God who refuses to abandon his creation.

  • 3.1Very Good: Creation and the Image of GodIncluded
  • 3.2The Fall: When Love Was RejectedIncluded
  • 3.3Sin, Death, and the Universal NeedIncluded
4

Promise: God Refuses to Let Go

Traces God's relentless pursuit of his broken creation through the Old Testament movements of covenant and prophecy. Learners discover that from the very first post-Fall moment, God is already speaking promise and moving toward redemption. The module covers the Proto-Gospel, the major covenants, and the Law and Prophets — demonstrating that the entire Old Testament is not a separate story but the long, patient buildup to Jesus. This module is essential for reading the New Testament rightly and for helping disciple-makers connect the whole Bible.

  • 4.1The Proto-Gospel: The First PromiseIncluded
  • 4.2Covenant: God Binds Himself to His PeopleIncluded
  • 4.3The Law, the Prophets, and the LongingIncluded
5

Messiah: The Reign of Love Arrives

Stands at the center and climax of the entire curriculum. In five lessons, learners encounter Jesus — who he is, what he did, and what his life, death, and resurrection accomplish. The module moves from Incarnation to Cross to Resurrection and then makes the decisive turn toward personal application: grace, repentance, faith, and new identity. These final two lessons are the most pastorally critical in the curriculum, ensuring that the story of Jesus becomes the learner's own story. Every prior module has been building to this moment.

  • 5.1The Word Became Flesh: Who Jesus IsIncluded
  • 5.2The Cross: Where Love Reigns MostIncluded
  • 5.3The Resurrection: Death Defeated, New Life BegunIncluded
  • 5.4Grace, Repentance, and Faith: Entering the StoryIncluded
  • 5.5New Identity: Who You Are in ChristIncluded
6

Kingdom: Living Inside the Story Now

Equips learners to live as Kingdom citizens in the present age — between the Resurrection and the Return. Having entered the story personally in Module 4, learners now explore what it looks like to live inside it: navigating the 'already and not yet' tension, depending on the Holy Spirit, discovering personal calling and purpose, and inhabiting the communal life of the Church. This module is the practical-formation heart of the curriculum and directly prepares learners for the disciple-making focus of Module 7.

  • 6.1Already and Not Yet: The Kingdom NowIncluded
  • 6.2The Holy Spirit: Power for the Kingdom LifeIncluded
  • 6.3Your Place in the Story: Calling and PurposeIncluded
  • 6.4Kingdom Community: The Church as a Sign of the ReignIncluded
7

Re-Creation: The Story's Glorious End

Brings the entire narrative arc to its magnificent conclusion. Learners discover the biblical hope of a fully restored creation — not the destruction of the material world but its renewal and glorification. The module covers the biblical vision of the New Creation, the Return of the King and Final Judgment, and a capstone lesson that traces the whole story as one unified narrative from beginning to end. This final module of the biblical storyline equips learners to hold their entire life and future inside God's story — and prepares them to tell that story to others in Module 7.

  • 7.1All Things New: The Biblical HopeIncluded
  • 7.2The Return of the King and the Final JudgmentIncluded
  • 7.3Tracing the Whole Story: Scripture as One Unified NarrativeIncluded
8

Disciple-Making: Entering and Equipping Others

Translates every prior module into missional, reproducible action. Having traced the whole story, entered it personally, and learned to live inside it, learners are now equipped to become disciple-makers: people who invite others into the story, facilitate conversations through the seven movements of Scripture, mentor new disciples, and commission others to do the same. This module is the fulfillment of the curriculum's final two outcomes and ensures the course multiplies beyond the classroom. It is deliberately sequenced last — you cannot lead others somewhere you have not yet traveled yourself.

  • 8.1The Great Commission: We Are All SentIncluded
  • 8.2The Art of Invitation: Starting Discipleship ConversationsIncluded
  • 8.3Leading the Seven Movements: Facilitating the Whole StoryIncluded
  • 8.4Mentoring and Accountability: Staying in the Story TogetherIncluded
  • 8.5Sent: Commissioning and Continuing the StoryIncluded

CJ Cousins

Maybe you've been a Christian for a while, but if you're honest, the Bible still feels like a long, confusing book full of disconnected pieces. You know the famous stories — Adam and Eve, the Exodus, the Sermon on the Mount, the Cross. But you've never quite seen how they all fit together, or what they have to do with your life on an ordinary Tuesday. That sense of missing something — the whole picture — is exactly why I created Love's Reign.

I believe with everything in me that the Bible is not a collection of religious rules or isolated moral stories. It is one magnificent, unified narrative, and it is about a God who is love — who created out of love, who pursues the lost out of love, and who is reigning and will reign in love forever through Jesus Christ. When you see that story whole, something shifts. The Gospel stops being a formula and starts being a homecoming. Your faith stops being a duty and starts being a life lived inside the greatest story ever told.

That's the journey Love's Reign takes you on. Twenty-five lessons, seven movements, one story — from the eternal community of the Trinity before anything existed to the glorious Re-Creation that is still coming. We don't skip the hard parts: the Fall, God's judgment, the weight of sin, and the real cost of the Cross. But we follow every one of those threads to where they lead — to Jesus, to resurrection, to new identity, to Kingdom purpose. My aim is for you to finish this course not just knowing more, but living differently, because you finally know where you are in the story.

And here's the thing I want you to hear: you don't have to keep this to yourself. One of the most beautiful privileges of following Jesus is getting to walk alongside someone else as they encounter him for the first time. The final movement of this course is built to equip you to do exactly that — to start a conversation, to open the story, to lead a friend, a neighbor, or someone in your small group through the same seven movements you walked through yourself. You don't have to be a theologian or a pastor. You just have to know the story and be willing to tell it.

If you're a new believer trying to get your bearings, a small-group leader who wants a rock-solid framework, or a church leader building a discipleship pathway that actually holds together — you're in the right place. Come and trace the story. Find your place inside it. And then, go and bring someone else in too.
