Algebra 1 — Foundations: Real Numbers, Expressions & Equations

Students build the essential prerequisite knowledge for all of Algebra 1. This module opens with the real number system and order of operations — the non-negotiable foundation — before advancing to algebraic expressions, one- and two-step equations, multi-step and literal equations, and finally inequalities. Sequencing follows FL BEST Standards (MAFS/B1.A-REI) and mirrors the pacing of a Florida Algebra 1 course. Every lesson is delivered in English and Spanish, includes a bilingual vocabulary glossary, a short explainer video, step-by-step worked examples with visuals, guided practice, a lesson quiz, and answer keys. A digital certificate is awarded upon passing the end-of-module assessment. Designed by Teacher Nenita, leveraging 19 years of teaching experience, math certified, ESE certified, and ESOL certified teacher.

Algebra 1 — Linear Functions, Slope & Systems of Equations

Building directly on Module 1's equation-solving skills, students now explore the concept of a function, master graphing and writing linear equations in all three standard forms, analyze slope and rate of change, and solve systems of equations using three methods. Sequencing follows FL BEST Standards (MA.912.AR.2, MA.912.F.1) and ensures function notation is introduced before graphing — a common sequencing error in many textbooks — so students understand what they are graphing. All lessons are bilingual (EN/ES), include a vocabulary glossary, video, visuals, guided practice, a lesson quiz, and an answer key. Module ends with an assessment, answer key, and digital certificate.

  • 2.1Linear & Non-Linear Functions | Funciones Lineales y No LinealesIncluded

Geometry — Foundations: Reasoning, Lines, Angles & Triangles

This is the first Geometry module, taken after successful completion of all Algebra 1 modules. Students begin with the logical language of geometry — definitions, postulates, theorems, and formal proof — before studying lines, angles, parallel line relationships, triangle properties and congruence, and similarity with the Pythagorean Theorem. Sequencing mirrors FL BEST Geometry Standards (MA.912.GR) and ensures prerequisite reasoning skills precede content application. All lessons are bilingual (EN/ES), include a vocabulary glossary, video, visuals, guided practice, a lesson quiz, and an answer key. Module ends with an assessment, answer key, and digital certificate.

Geometry — Quadrilaterals, Circles, Area, Volume & Geometry EOC Readiness

Building on Module 4's reasoning and triangle foundations, students now master quadrilateral properties, circle theorems, area/surface area/volume formulas, and coordinate geometry. The module closes with a Geometry EOC Simulation mirroring the format and standard distribution of the Florida Geometry EOC. All lessons are bilingual (EN/ES), include a vocabulary glossary, video, visuals, guided practice, a lesson quiz, and an answer key. Prerequisites: Algebra 1 and Geometry complete. This module deepens and extends students' algebraic fluency across four major Algebra 2 domains: advanced quadratics including complex numbers, polynomial functions, rational and radical expressions and equations, and exponential and logarithmic functions. Sequencing progresses from extensions of familiar quadratic work to new function families, preventing cognitive overload. All lessons are bilingual (EN/ES), include a vocabulary glossary, video, visuals, guided practice, a lesson quiz, and an answer key. A junior or senior ready to tackle SAT Math with proven strategies, real question patterns, and targeted prep across every section of the test.

The Supportive Parent

A mom or dad who wants to sit alongside their student and actually follow the lessons — in English or Spanish — without needing a math background to do it.

The ESE or Struggling Learner

A student who needs a slower, scaffolded pace — concepts built from simple language up, with no steps skipped and no one left behind.

The Algebra 2 Climber

A student moving into advanced math who needs a clear, step-by-step guide through complex numbers, polynomials, exponentials, and logarithms before things spiral out of control.

Hi — I'm Teacher Nenita, and if you're reading this, I think I know where you are right now.

Maybe your student has a big EOC exam coming up and math just isn't clicking the way it should. Maybe they understand things in Spanish but school is taught only in English, and somewhere in that gap, the confidence disappeared. Maybe you're a parent who sits down at the kitchen table every evening trying to help — and you wish you had someone patient and clear right there beside you. I've been teaching in Florida and Nevada classrooms for 19 years altogether and I have met every one of those students. That's exactly why I built this school.

Math With Nenita is organized around the way real students actually learn math — not the way a textbook assumes they do. Every single lesson follows the same structure: I start with plain language you already understand, I introduce the vocabulary through a glossary so the words never become a wall, and I model every problem type step-by-step before you try it yourself. That's it. No skipping ahead. No assuming you remembered last year's lesson. We go together, one step at a time, until it makes sense. And because I teach everything in both English and Spanish, you're never stuck choosing between understanding your language and understanding math. You get both.

The curriculum covers the full 6–12 math sequence — Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and SAT Math Prep — all aligned to FL BEST Standards and built around what the EOC exams actually test. I didn't write these modules to feel comprehensive on paper; I wrote them because I know which concepts students struggle with most, which vocabulary trips up ELL learners, and which problem types appear on the Algebra 1 and Geometry EOCs every single year. This is 19 years of classroom knowledge organized into lessons you can do from anywhere.

I also know that parents and families are part of this journey. You don't need a math degree to support your student — you just need lessons you can follow along with. That's what you'll find here. Clear enough for a parent, rigorous enough for a 10th-grader, and bilingual enough for every Spanish speaker student who struggles understanding math in English.

If your student has been told they're "not a math person," I want to gently push back on that. They haven't had the right guide yet. Come learn with us — I'll be here every step of the way.
