Sasheen Maple
Hi — I'm Sasheen, and I want to start by saying something I genuinely believe: feeling nervous about driving doesn't mean something is wrong with you. It means you understand that what you're learning actually matters. That awareness — that care — is exactly what makes a thoughtful, safe driver. You've already got something important. We just need to build on it.
I created Mindset Behind the Wheel because I kept seeing the same gap. New drivers were being taught the rules of the road, how to parallel park, when to signal — but nobody was talking about what it feels like to sit behind that wheel for the first time. The shallow breathing. The voice in your head second-guessing every decision. The tension between a learner who's overwhelmed and a coach who doesn't quite know how to help. That gap is where confidence breaks down, and it's where I wanted to show up.
This school is built around a simple belief: confidence has to come before complexity. You don't throw someone into busy traffic and hope they figure it out. You start where they are — in a quiet parking lot, or even just sitting in a still car learning what every control does — and you build from there, one steady step at a time. Every section of this curriculum follows that same logic: know yourself first, know your vehicle second, then take on the road gradually, with a toolkit of mindset and decision-making skills that grows with you.
Whether you're the learner who's been putting this off for years, the teenager who's excited but secretly terrified, the parent trying not to grab the dashboard, or the driving instructor looking for a better framework to support anxious students — this school was made for your seat in that car. I've written it for real people, in plain language, with warmth and without judgment.
I want you to finish this school feeling not just capable of passing a test, but genuinely ready to be on the road. Ready to handle the unexpected. Ready to reflect on a mistake and learn from it instead of being crushed by it. Ready to drive alone for the first time without that knot in your stomach.
That's the transformation I'm here to walk you through. Let's get started — there's a seat ready for you.
