A note from your teacher
J. Taylor
Hey — I'm really glad you're here. And I want to start by saying something that I mean completely: wherever you're starting from, it's okay. Maybe you've got credit card debt you're embarrassed about. Maybe you've never had more than a few hundred dollars in savings. Maybe you make a decent income and still can't figure out where it all goes. I've sat across from people in every one of those situations, and I can tell you — it's not a character flaw. It's a gap in information and a lack of a clear system. That's fixable.
I built Money Clarity because the financial advice that exists for most people is either too vague ("just spend less than you earn!") or too intimidating (hello, 40-page financial plan with seventeen pie charts). Neither one actually helps you change your behavior on a Tuesday when you're staring at your bank account. What helps is a specific, honest, step-by-step process that meets you where you are — with your real income, your real debt, your real expenses — and walks you forward from there.
What we do in this school is practical and sequenced on purpose. We start by getting a clear picture of where you actually stand — net worth, income, every dollar flowing through your life. Then we build a zero-based budget that works for irregular expenses and real life, not an idealized version of it. We tackle debt with a real payoff strategy you'll actually follow. We build your emergency fund so that one unexpected expense doesn't undo everything. We demystify your credit score and give you daily habits that move the number. And then — the part people often feel is the furthest out of reach — we get you investing in a retirement account with funds you understand and automation that keeps it going without your constant attention.
I'm not going to promise you a specific dollar amount or a magic timeline. What I can promise is that if you work through this material and apply it to your real numbers, you will have more clarity, more control, and more confidence about money than you've probably ever had. That's not hype — it's just what happens when someone finally explains the whole picture in plain English and gives you a real plan to follow. You deserve that. Let's build it together.
