Dear fellow intercessor,

I know why you're here — because prayer has become something more than a daily habit. There is a holy restlessness in you, a sense that God is calling you not just to pray for yourself, but to stand in the gap for others. You've been faithful in the foundations. Now you feel the weight of a greater assignment. I want you to know: that weight is from God, and it is good.

I built Prayer 301 because I have watched too many devoted believers plateau at the threshold of intercessory ministry — not for lack of desire, but for lack of a clear, biblically-grounded path forward. The call to intercede is serious. It involves your time, your discipline, your voice, and your hands. It requires knowing how to pray God's Word with intentionality, how to quiet yourself enough to hear the Holy Spirit move, and how to lead others through the night when the congregation cries out for God's intervention. These are not mystical gifts reserved for the extraordinarily spiritual. They are learned, practiced, and biblical disciplines — and this course will teach you every one of them.

We will begin where every intercessor must begin: the heart. We will examine what it truly means to be called to stand in the gap, and we will build from there — lesson by lesson, Scripture by Scripture — through praying the Word, partnering with the Holy Spirit, establishing a Daniel-like rhythm of three-times-daily prayer, planning and leading overnight vigils, and finally, ministering healing through anointing oil and the laying on of hands as James 5 instructs. Nothing in this curriculum is theoretical for theory's sake. Every module is designed to move from the page into your prayer closet, your small group, and your church.

I also want to speak directly to any fear or uncertainty you may be carrying. Perhaps the gift of tongues feels unfamiliar or even controversial to you. Perhaps the thought of leading an overnight prayer vigil feels daunting. Perhaps you have never laid hands on someone and prayed for their healing. I want you to approach all of it without condemnation and without rush. This course is pastoral, not pressuring. We will open the Scriptures together, we will sit with what God's Word actually says, and we will trust the Holy Spirit to do what only He can do.
