Tracy Burke

Hey there — I'm really glad you're here, and I mean that.

I know what it feels like to look at a math problem and feel that knot in your stomach. Maybe that's you right now. Maybe it's your kid, sitting at the kitchen table, eraser worn down to nothing, wondering why this stuff just won't click. I've seen that moment so many times — and here's what I want you to know: it's not a talent problem. It's almost always a foundation problem. Somewhere along the way, a concept got glossed over, a step got skipped, and math started to feel like everyone else got the manual and you didn't.

That's exactly why I built Pre-Algebra Unlocked. I wanted to create a course that goes back to the beginning — not in a condescending way, but in a "let's actually make sure this makes sense" way. We start with integers and the number line, work through fractions and percentages with real examples like money and recipes and sports, and then build up, piece by piece, to variables, equations, and everything that Algebra 1 is going to throw at a student. Nothing is rushed. Nothing is assumed. Every single step has a reason, and I'll show you what that reason is.

Here's what I really want for every student who takes this course: I want them to get to the end of a lesson and think, "Wait — that actually wasn't that bad." And then I want that to happen again. And again. Until math stops being something that happens to them and starts being something they can actually do. That confidence compounds. When a student realizes they can solve a two-step equation, write it from a word problem, and check their own answer? Something shifts. That's the transformation I'm here for.

If you're an adult coming back to math after years away — welcome. This course works for you too. No judgment, no rush, just clear explanations and all the practice you need.

Come on in. Let's unlock this together.
