If you're a student reading this, I want to say something directly to you first: if reading feels hard right now, that is not a reflection of how smart you are. It means you haven't been handed the right tools yet. And that's fixable. Completely fixable.
Here's what I see all the time: bright, capable students who can hold a conversation, think on their feet, and argue a point brilliantly—but the moment a dense paragraph or an unfamiliar text lands in front of them, the confidence disappears. They freeze, skim, or give up. And then they get a grade back and feel like reading just "isn't their thing." I built this program because reading absolutely can be your thing, once someone shows you what to actually do with a hard text.
This isn't a program about reading more. It's a program about reading better. We start with the building blocks—how a complex sentence actually works, how to move through a dense paragraph without losing the thread, how to tell the difference between what an author says and what they mean. Then we move into vocabulary, not by memorizing lists, but by learning the roots, prefixes, and context strategies that let you decode a word you've never seen before. We look at author's craft—purpose, tone, point of view, persuasion—so you're never just absorbing a text passively; you're reading it critically, the way your teachers are hoping you will.
Then we get into the skills that show up on every assignment, every test, every essay prompt: how to write a text-based claim, how to pick the right evidence, how to explain your reasoning so it actually lands.
