Here's what I know about ELA instruction: the students who struggle most are almost never lacking intelligence. They're lacking a system. They haven't learned how to decode an unfamiliar word from its roots. They haven't been shown a reliable method for taking a story or poem apart and building a real argument about what it means. They haven't practiced reading a standardized test question the way you'd study an opponent. These are learnable skills — not talents you're born with — and that conviction is at the heart of everything in this program.

Right Track Mastery begins with a diagnostic that I take seriously, because placement matters. Your learning path isn't assigned randomly; it's built from what you actually know and where you actually are. From there, we move through vocabulary — not lists to memorize, but roots, prefixes, and suffixes from Greek and Latin that give you a permanent, transferable toolkit for any word you'll ever encounter. We move into reading strategy, then into structured literary and poetic analysis using a Deconstruction Method that works on any text, any genre, any test. And we close with a dedicated test-taking module because I want every student to walk into a standardized ELA exam feeling like they have an advantage — because they will.

I also want to be honest with you about what this program is. It is rigorous. I won't water down the vocabulary, the analysis, or the expectations, because I don't think that serves students. What I will do is explain the "how" and the "why" behind every skill, meet you at your level, and build from there with patience and precision.
