Self Inquiry for Realization

Cut through mental noise and discover who you truly are — using the ancient yet razor-sharp practice of Self Inquiry (Atma Vichara) as taught by Ramana Maharshi and refined for modern seekers.

Perfect for: Spiritual seekers, meditators, and curious individuals who feel drawn to non-dual or Advaita teachings but want direct, practice-based guidance rather than purely intellectual study. Particularly suited to those who have explored mindfulness, yoga, or other contemplative paths and sense there is a deeper layer yet to uncover.

Self Inquiry for Realization

You've read the books. You've done the meditations. So why does the sense of "something missing" keep returning?

Most spiritual practices give the mind more to do — more techniques, more concepts, more experiences to chase. Self Inquiry does the opposite. It turns awareness back on itself, asking the single most penetrating question a human being can pose: "Who am I?" Not as philosophy, but as a living investigation that can unravel the root of suffering at its source.

What makes this school different

This isn't a lecture series on Advaita Vedanta, and it's not a mindfulness course wearing non-dual clothing. Every lesson is a hands-on practice — you'll learn exactly how to sit with the inquiry, what to do when the mind wanders into stories, how to distinguish genuine recognition from spiritual bypassing, and how to carry the investigation off the cushion and into daily life. The approach draws from Ramana Maharshi's direct teachings, Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj's pointer to the "I Am," and contemporary teachers who have made these methods accessible without diluting them.

Who this is for — and what becomes possible

Whether you're brand new to non-dual teachings or have years of sitting behind you, this school meets you where you are. Students consistently report a quieting of the inner critic, a loosening of chronic anxiety, and — for many — moments of unmistakable clarity about the nature of awareness itself. That clarity, once tasted, changes how you relate to every thought, emotion, and life circumstance. The goal is not a permanent "enlightened state" to be achieved later. It is the recognition that what you are looking for is what is looking — available right now, in this moment.

What you'll be able to do

  • Understand the mechanics of Self Inquiry — what it is, how it works, and exactly how to practice it session by session
  • Distinguish the felt sense of the 'I-thought' from background awareness, a foundational recognition the practice rests on
  • Navigate the most common obstacles — mind wandering, doubt, spiritual dryness, and subtle spiritual ego — with concrete strategies rather than vague reassurance
  • Apply Self Inquiry in the middle of daily life, not just formal sitting, using short anchor practices that take under 60 seconds
  • Recognize the difference between genuine non-dual glimpses and conceptual understanding dressed up as insight
  • Develop a sustainable, self-directed inquiry practice that does not depend on external teachers, retreats, or techniques
  • Articulate your direct experience in your own words, cutting through borrowed spiritual language that can obscure real understanding
  • Integrate inquiry with emotions — using difficult feelings as doorways into deeper investigation rather than obstacles to it

I came to Self Inquiry not through a lineage or a teacher, but through a moment of desperation — in December of 2012. I didn't even know what Self Realization, chakras or moksha even meant. It just happened one day when I desired the Truth about life with every ounce of my being. I yelled inside myself and to the universe: "I want the Truth and I want it now! I don't need a mediator, I'm going straight to the Father myself!" I immediately had an experience of being the universe and the interconnectedness of all things. That's when my true spiritual journey began. I received revelations that corrected my previous belief system and understood scripture, or prophecy, was being fulfilled in me. Just like it eventually will be in every single human being. When I first encountered Ramana Maharshi's instruction to simply ask "Who am I?" and hold the attention at its source, it seemed almost insultingly simple. Then one afternoon it landed differently, and nothing has been quite the same since. I've spent the years since studying teachers mainly in the Eastern traditions, the Ramana and Nisargadatta lineages, reading every spiritual book I was led to and learning about energy, chakras, esoteric works, metaphysics, frequencies, quantum reality and more. I will continue learning (and unlearning) the rest of this incarnation. What I found is that most people aren't failing at Self Inquiry because they lack dedication. They're failing because they've never received truly clear, practical instruction on what to *do* in the actual moment of sitting. This school is my attempt to provide exactly that: no mystification, no vague pointers, no gatekeeping — just the clearest guide I know how to write for the most important investigation a human being can undertake.
