Break free from the cycle — not just the behavior
Wired for Freedom is a Christ-centered, trauma-informed journey that goes beneath the surface — helping you heal the wounds, rewire the patterns, and step into the identity that was always yours.

"Real freedom starts the moment you stop fighting the symptom and finally face the wound underneath it — and that's exactly where we begin."— Leigh Baumann

A note from your teacher
Leigh Baumann
I know what it's like to sit with a secret that feels too heavy and too shameful to put down — and I know what it's like to watch someone you love shatter when that secret finally comes out.
Maybe you've been here before: you make a commitment, you hold it for a while, and then one bad night unravels everything. Or maybe you're the spouse sitting across the table, trying to figure out how to breathe normally again after something you never saw coming. Either way, you've probably heard some version of "just pray harder, try harder, be more accountable" — and somewhere along the line you started to wonder if something was permanently broken in you, or your marriage, or your faith.
It's not broken. It's rooted. And roots can be healed.
That's why I built Wired for Freedom the way I did — not as a stricter version of every program you've already tried, but as a real, unhurried journey into the why. Why the brain gets hooked. Why trauma from years ago is still running the show today. Why shame makes the cycle worse, not better. And why lasting transformation — the kind that holds — has to go through the heart, the nervous system, the relationships, and the soul, not just the behavior.
This school weaves together what I've learned from Scripture, from neuroscience, from trauma-informed therapy, and from walking alongside real people in the hard middle of this work. You'll find honest teaching about tools like EMDR, nervous system regulation, and relapse prevention — held inside a framework of grace, identity in Christ, and genuine spiritual intimacy. Nothing here is about performing recovery. It's about becoming free.
Whether you're the one struggling, the one hurting, or the pastor or counselor carrying everyone else's weight — you're welcome here. Pull up a chair. We're going to take this one honest step at a time, and there is no condemnation waiting for you in this space. Only a road forward.
