Dr. Sherrie Licon for ParlioVox
Hi there — if you've landed here, I'm guessing you've spent more time than you'd like searching for a Spanish program that actually works for your child. Maybe you've tried apps that move too fast. Courses that assume too much. Programs that weren't made for the way your child's brilliant brain is wired. I see you, and I want you to know: you are in exactly the right place.
Spanish Sprouts was born from a simple belief — that every child, every single one, has the capacity to learn a new language when they're given the right environment to do it. Not a faster environment. Not a noisier, flashier, "gamified" one. A safe one. A predictable one. One where the routine says "you belong here" before a single Spanish word is spoken.
Here's what you can expect inside Spanish Sprouts: the same warm opening every lesson, the same gentle pacing, the same visual anchors your child can count on. And within that structure? Real language. Your child will learn to say hello and goodbye, count to 20, name the animals they love, talk about how they feel, ask for what they need, and — in our final celebration — read their first Spanish sentences on the page. These aren't flashcard drills. These are communication skills that will light up your child's face when they use them.
I also want to address the question I hear most often: "But will my child really be able to do this?" Yes. Not in spite of the way their mind works — because of it. Neurodivergent learners often have remarkable strengths: deep focus on topics they love, strong pattern recognition, excellent memory for things presented in consistent ways. Spanish Sprouts is built to meet those strengths. The repetition is intentional. The routine is the pedagogy. The celebration at the end of every lesson is non-negotiable.
You don't need to speak Spanish to support your child through this. You just need to show up alongside them, cheer for the small wins (which are actually enormous wins), and trust the process. The lessons are short enough to hold attention and structured enough to reduce anxiety — so you can focus on the joy of learning together, not on managing the session.
If your child is between 5 and 12 — whether they're on the autism spectrum, have ADHD, experience sensory differences, or are simply a young learner who deserves a kinder starting point — I built this for them. I built this for you. Come on in. ¡Bienvenidos!
