Freddy Foster
If you've picked up this course, I'm going to guess something: you're not afraid of technology, exactly. You've figured out plenty of things over the years that seemed complicated at first. What's bothering you is the speed of it all — the feeling that while you were living your life, the world quietly agreed on a new set of rules and forgot to send you the memo.
I hear that. And I want to be straight with you from the start: that feeling is almost universal right now, and it has very little to do with your actual ability to understand or use these tools. Most of the people confidently talking about AI in your presence understand it about as well as you do — they've just stopped admitting that they don't. One of the first things this course does is clear that fog so you can see your real starting point, not the intimidating version your imagination has been building.
What I've built here isn't a crash course in technology. It's a course in honest self-assessment. We'll use a structured readiness quiz — not to grade you, but to give you a clear, personalized picture of where you actually stand. Then we'll walk through the tools everyone keeps mentioning (Siri, Alexa, Google, ChatGPT) in the plainest English I can manage, with real examples from everyday retirement life. Where could AI help you find a better deal on a prescription? Save you twenty minutes of phone-hold time? Answer a question your doctor's office can't get to until Tuesday? Those are the questions worth asking.
Here's what I promise this course will never do: pressure you. There's an entire industry right now dedicated to making you feel like you must adopt AI immediately or be left behind forever. I think that's nonsense, and I'll tell you so plainly. Some of what's out there will genuinely make your life a little easier. Some of it isn't worth your time. And some decisions are simply yours to make — on your schedule, in your own way.
By the time you finish, you'll have a personal action plan sized to your exact readiness level, whether that's taking one small step this month or simply feeling settled and confident that you know enough to make your own call. Either outcome is a win. Come on in — the coffee, so to speak, is always on.
