Burn Away the Habitual Self
A warrior-grade training drawn directly from Castaneda's The Fire Within — not to inspire you, but to dismantle the ordinary routine that is costing you your personal power, piece by piece, every day.

"I'm not here to make Castaneda accessible — I'm here to make him executable."— Joseph Riggio

- Execute the core stalking practices described in the text to interrupt compulsive behavioral and emotional patterns without relying on willpower or positive thinking
- Apply the concept of 'controlled folly' as a live daily discipline that generates detachment from outcome while sustaining full engagement in action
- Distinguish between 'self-importance' as Castaneda defines it and genuine self-worth, and use that distinction as a precision tool to reclaim leaked personal power
- Practice the specific recapitulation technique drawn from the book to systematically retrieve energy bound up in unresolved past events and relationships
- Construct a personal 'path with heart' audit — a ruthless, criteria-based map for deciding which pursuits, relationships, and habits amplify power and which silently drain it

Who it's for
Is this you?
The Burned-Out Seeker
Years of meditation apps and self-help books have sharpened your vocabulary but left the habitual self completely intact — you need a harder methodology, not another framework.
The Serious Castaneda Reader
You've read the books, but The Fire Within has always felt like a field manual you didn't quite know how to open — this training gives you the operative key.
The Pattern-Aware Practitioner
You can name your compulsive patterns with clinical precision and watch them run anyway — the stalking methodology in this course operates on the axis that awareness-only approaches never reach.
The Philosophically Hungry
You are drawn to rigorous, demanding ideas and repelled by the platitudes of mainstream personal development — this training is anchored in text, concept, and executable practice, nothing softened.
The Energy Auditor
You suspect that specific pursuits, relationships, and habits are costing you more than they return, and you want a ruthless, criteria-based method — not intuition, not mood — for making that call.
The Recovering Self-Helper
You've outgrown affirmations, vision boards, and manifestation culture and are ready for a discipline that asks something real of you — and gives something real back.

A note from your teacher
Joseph Riggio
You've done the work. You've sat the retreats, read the books, kept the journals. You understand impermanence, you know the difference between the ego and the witness, and you can articulate your patterns with precision. And yet — the patterns are still running. The ordinary routine is still intact. Something hasn't shifted at the root.
I built this training because I kept running into the same wall, and I kept watching serious people run into it too. The problem wasn't lack of insight. The problem was that nearly every available methodology stops at awareness and calls it transformation. Castaneda doesn't make that mistake. The Fire Within is, in my reading, the most operationally specific thing he ever wrote — it names the mechanisms by which personal power leaks, and it prescribes exact practices for stopping those leaks and retrieving what's been lost. But it is a difficult text. It does not hold your hand. It was not written to be applied by someone alone with a highlighter.
This course exists to close that gap. Every section maps directly onto what the book actually says — not an interpretation of it, not a Toltec synthesis, not a metaphor. We go to the text. We establish what it means precisely. And then we translate it into something you can execute: a stalking strategy you design for your own behavioral patterns, a recapitulation list you build and work systematically, a Path With Heart audit you apply without self-pity to the actual terrain of your life.
I want to be honest with you about what to expect. This is not a comfortable training. The self-importance diagnostic, in particular, will find things you'd prefer not to find. The recapitulation practice asks you to revisit territory you may have worked hard to seal off. The controlled folly discipline is genuinely counter-instinctual — most of us are either detached or engaged; acting with full commitment while holding zero attachment to outcome is a practice, not a posture, and it takes real work to install. None of this will be softened for you here.
What I can promise is this: every concept will be defined with precision, every practice will be executable, and the standard we work to is the one the text itself demands. If you are ready to stop managing the habitual self and start dismantling it — you're in the right place. Come in with your sharpest attention. Leave the self-help reflex at the door.
