HAI: Study the person doing the thinking!
Most of us spend a lifetime building expertise about the world and almost no time examining the mind that interprets it. The Missing Link is a structured, philosophically grounded school/seminar that teaches you to turn attention inward — so that every decision, conversation, and action is guided by a clearer, more conscious you.

I built this school for people who are ready to study the one subject that changes every other subject: themselves.

What you'll learn
What you'll be able to do
- Articulate the distinction between external knowledge and self-knowledge, and explain why both are essential for responsible intelligence.

- Apply the HAI framework — Knowledge → Awareness → Character → Responsibility → Progressive Reform — to real decisions in work and daily life.
- Recognise how to use AI tools as intentional instruments, maintaining clear human agency, authorship, and ethical accountability.
- Develop a personal 'inner operating system': a stable foundation of values and conscience that guides how you think, communicate, and act.
- Design a continuous self-development practice that integrates reflective thinking with purposeful engagement in the world.

Who it's for
Is this you?
The seasoned professional
Decades of expertise haven't answered the question of why the smartest rooms still make the worst decisions — this school examines the human operator behind them.
The thoughtful educator
She teaches critical thinking to others and senses it's time to apply the same rigour to the beliefs and assumptions shaping her own practice.
The AI-curious technologist
He works with AI daily and wants a principled framework for staying the intentional author — not a passive prompt-passer — in an automated world.
The lifelong learner
She has read widely across philosophy, psychology, and spirituality and is looking for a structured school that integrates self-inquiry with real-world action.
The values-driven leader
He leads a team and knows that how he shows up under pressure reveals more about his character than any leadership book — and he wants to examine that honestly.
The reflective career-changer
She is at a crossroads and recognises that the next right move depends less on more information and more on a clearer understanding of who is making the choice.

Val (Valdas) Samonis
If you are reading this, I suspect you are someone who thinks carefully. You read widely, you reflect, you try to act with integrity. And yet — if you are anything like me at an earlier point in my life — there is a quiet unease that knowledge alone has not quite resolved. You know a great deal about the world. But do you know the person who is knowing it? That question stopped me in my tracks the first time I genuinely sat with it. Not as a philosophical puzzle, but as a very practical one. I realised that every decision I made — every interpretation, every reaction, every belief I held with confidence — was being filtered through an inner operator I had never really studied. I had invested decades and decades in learning about the external world and almost none in understanding the architecture of my own thinking. That gap, I came to see, is not a personal failing. It is a structural one in how most of us are educated. The Missing Link grew out of that realisation. I built this school because I wanted a place where intelligent, sincere adults could do the inner work that formal education rarely makes room for — rigorously, without mysticism, and without the breathless promises that so much of the personal development world trades in. The HAI framework you will find here is the distillation of that work: a clear, honest map from self-knowledge through to purposeful action in the world. I want to be straightforward with you about what this school is and is not. It will not give you a shortcut to wisdom, because there isn't one. It will not tell you what to believe. What it will do is give you the tools to examine what you already believe — and to ask, with open eyes, whether those beliefs are truly yours, or simply inherited. That is quiet, sometimes uncomfortable work. I think you are ready for it. The AI dimension of this school is one I feel particularly strongly about. We are living through a moment when powerful tools are ready to do our thinking for us, and the people most at risk are not the least informed — they are the people who have never paused to locate themselves as the operator. When you know who is holding the tool, you hold it very differently. I hope you will join me. Not to acquire another set of ideas to add to an already crowded shelf, but to begin — or deepen — a practice of self-inquiry that will quietly change the quality of everything you think, decide, and do in practice. The door is open. Come in and sit down.
