Jenks Brutus
Maybe you picked up this course because someone you love is going through something dark, and you don't know what to say to them. Maybe it was you — lying awake at 2 a.m., wondering if anyone is actually in charge of this world, wondering if your life has any real meaning, wondering if a God who claims to be love could possibly care about someone with your history.
I've been there. And I've also sat across from people who were there — people who had every reason to give up on faith, on God, on hope itself. What I've discovered, over and over, is that the Bible is not a book of rules for good people. It's a rescue story for broken ones. And no matter how far someone has drifted, that story always has room for one more.
There Is Hope came out of a deep conviction that the Gospel — the actual good news of Jesus Christ — deserves to be presented clearly, honestly, and without manipulation. Not watered down. Not dressed up in jargon. Not weaponized for fear. Just the truth of what God said, what God did, and what God is still doing for anyone willing to receive it.
I designed these 15 lessons to walk you through the whole arc of Scripture: creation, the fall, God's covenants, the prophets' promises, the life and death and resurrection of Jesus, the gift of the Holy Spirit, and the unbreakable hope of eternity. Each lesson builds on the last, but every one stands on its own. You can start anywhere the Spirit leads you.
My promise to you is simple: I will not tell you what to believe. I will show you what the Bible says, explain it as clearly as I can, and invite you to decide for yourself. The rest is between you and God. And if you finish this course and find yourself saying yes to Jesus for the first time — or for the first time in a long time — then every word was worth writing.
Come as you are. There is hope for you here.
