Foundations of Movement & Athletic Development (Ages 2–5)
Developmentally appropriate introduction to fundamental movement literacy for toddlers and preschoolers. Every lesson is built on play-based discovery, sensory exploration, and gross-motor development aligned with NASPE/SHAPE America early childhood physical activity guidelines. Inclusive design is woven throughout so that children with and without disabilities develop confidence, body awareness, and a joyful relationship with movement from day one.

Sport Sampler & Skill-Building (Ages 6–9)
Early elementary learners are introduced to the rules, vocabulary, positions, and foundational techniques of the major American sports through guided discovery and small-sided games. The 'sampler' model is intentional—broad exposure before specialisation reduces burnout and supports long-term athlete development (LTAD). Every sport includes adaptive and wheelchair variants so that inclusive participation is modelled from the first structured sport experience. A dedicated safety and fair play lesson anchors the whole module.

Skill Development & Sport-Specific Training (Ages 10–13)
The middle-school years are the 'skill window'—the developmental period most responsive to technique refinement and tactical introduction. This module deepens sport-specific mechanics across all major American sports, introduces structured youth strength and conditioning grounded in NSCA and ACSM youth guidelines, and formally teaches officiating knowledge and Special Olympics discipline rules. Para-sport technical progressions are fully integrated, not siloed.

This module aligns with NFHS, USA national governing body (NGB) standards, NSCA youth athlete guidelines, and USOPC SafeSport requirements. Athlete leadership, injury-prevention literacy, and sport psychology foundations are woven through every lesson to develop the whole competitor.

Pauline Smith EdD
If you've ever watched a young athlete sit on the sideline — not because they didn't want to play, but because nobody had built a program that made room for them — you already understand why USA Sports Academy exists.
We built this academy because American youth sport is fragmented. Toddlers get handed a ball with no structure. Tween athletes get adult drills watered down. High schoolers chasing a college roster spot are navigating NCAA eligibility rules alone. And athletes with physical disabilities — wheelchair users, amputees, Special Olympics participants — are too often handed a modified version of someone else's program and told to make it work. Every one of those athletes deserves better.
What you'll find inside USA Sports Academy is a complete developmental pathway — six structured modules that move with the athlete from ages 2 all the way through 21. We start where every athlete starts: learning to move, to balance, to throw and catch and kick, to feel at home in their body. We build from there — sport by sport, skill by skill, phase by phase — all the way through position-specific mastery, periodized conditioning, advanced game intelligence, and the college recruiting and eligibility landscape. Every step of the way, the programming reflects what the governing bodies — USA Football, USA Basketball, the USOPC, the NCAA — actually require. Not approximations. The real standards.
And for coaches, parents, and youth organizations: you have your own module. Because the adults who shape young athletes' experiences are just as important as the drills themselves. You'll learn adaptive coaching methodology, how to run Safe Sport-compliant programs, how to design sessions that genuinely work for multi-age and multi-ability groups, and how to recognize and respond to athlete mental health challenges before they become crises.
I want to be direct with you: this is not a highlights reel or a collection of workout clips. This is a sports education — structured, sequential, inclusive, and grounded in how athletes actually develop. If you're a parent who wants to understand what your child should be working on right now, a coach who wants to build something that truly serves every kid on your roster, or an athlete who is ready to train with real purpose — this is where you belong.
Come train with us. Every sport. Every age. Every athlete.
