Leigh Baumann
If you're reading this, something brought you here — and I want you to know I'm glad you're here, wherever "here" finds you today.
Maybe you're the one who keeps falling back into a pattern you hate. Maybe you've made promises — to yourself, to God, to someone you love — and broken them more times than you want to count. Maybe you're the spouse who found something out and doesn't know how to breathe through it. Maybe you're a counselor or a pastor sitting across from someone who needs more than encouragement, and you're quietly wondering if you have what it takes to help them. Maybe you're a parent watching your child disappear into a screen or a behavior, and the fear in your chest is something you can't quite name yet.
I built Wired for Freedom because I've sat with all of those stories — and I know how isolating and confusing this terrain can be. The church often doesn't know what to say. The clinical world often doesn't speak the language of faith. And the person in the middle — or the people who love them — ends up holding something too heavy to carry alone, without a map.
What I want to give you in this course is a map. Not a checklist, not a shame-and-willpower program, not a quick fix — but an honest, whole-person understanding of how process addiction actually works, why it takes root, and what real healing looks like. We're going to talk about your brain and your nervous system alongside Scripture and prayer, because both matter. We're going to look at the wounds beneath the behavior, because behavior is never the whole story. We're going to build something practical and personal — a recovery plan that fits your life, your relationships, your biology, and your faith. And we're going to do all of it at a pace that treats you like a human being, not a problem to be solved.
I want to be honest with you about one more thing: this is a year-long journey on purpose. Not because healing is slow — though sometimes it is — but because the transformation we're after is deep. It reaches into your identity, your relationships, your daily habits, and your walk with God. That kind of change deserves room to breathe. You deserve room to breathe.
So wherever you're starting — exhausted, cautiously hopeful, skeptical, or somewhere in between — I want to say this plainly: you are not too far gone. You are not beyond grace. And you were, in fact, wired for freedom. I'd be honored to walk this road with you.
