1

Who Am I Right Now?

Before any compass can point somewhere meaningful, young people need an honest, grounded picture of where they're starting from. This foundational module builds self-awareness by exploring personal history, inner emotional landscape, and the beliefs they've inherited versus the ones they've actually chosen. It sets the reflective tone for the entire workbook.

  • 1.1Your Story So FarIncluded
  • 1.2What's Actually Going On Inside?Included
  • 1.3Borrowed Beliefs vs. Your OwnIncluded
2

Discovering Your Core Values

Values are the invisible architecture of every decision we make. This module moves students from a vague sense of 'what matters' to a clear, personal, prioritised set of core values — ones they've stress-tested, not just picked because they sound admirable. This directly delivers the outcome of identifying core values and understanding why they drive decisions.

  • 2.1What Are Values and Why Do They Run Everything?Included
  • 2.2Finding YOUR Values (Not the Pretty-Sounding Ones)Included
  • 2.3Living By Your Values (Even When It's Hard)Included
3

Knowing Your Strengths

This module closes a genuine gap in the draft: students need to deeply understand not just what their strengths are, but where they come from and how to deploy them intentionally. Crucially, a lesson on the relationship between strengths and values is added here — because strengths without values are directionless, and values without strengths are wishful. This sequencing ensures both modules reinforce each other before students design their future.

  • 3.1Strengths vs. Skills vs. Talents — What's the Difference?Included
  • 3.2Where Your Strengths Shine BrightestIncluded
  • 3.3Strengths, Values, and Who You're BecomingIncluded
4

Designing Your Good Life

With self-awareness, values, and strengths now established, students are ready to look outward and forward. This module guides them to define what 'a good life' genuinely means to them — not what looks good to others — and to translate that vision into a rich, multi-dimensional personal picture of flourishing. It directly delivers the outcome of clarifying what a good life looks like for you.

  • 4.1What Does 'A Good Life' Actually Mean to You?Included
  • 4.2Building Your Personal VisionIncluded
5

Making Decisions You Won't Regret

This module delivers one of the most practical outcomes in the workbook: a personal decision-making framework that students can actually use. It addresses the emotional, cognitive, and values-based dimensions of hard choices — and adds an essential missing lesson on recognising when a decision conflicts with your values, so students can course-correct early.

  • 5.1Why Hard Decisions Feel So HardIncluded
  • 5.2Your Personal Decision-Making FrameworkIncluded
  • 5.3Making Peace With UncertaintyIncluded
6

Your Direction — Goals, Mission, and Moving Forward

The final module is where everything converges. Students move from self-knowledge to intentional action by setting goals anchored to their real priorities, crafting a personal mission statement, and building practices that keep them true to their compass when life gets complicated. A new closing lesson on resilience and re-orientation is added to ensure students have tools for when they inevitably drift — which is a critical missing piece for lasting impact.

  • 6.1Setting Goals That Actually Mean SomethingIncluded
  • 6.2Writing Your Personal Mission StatementIncluded
  • 6.3Staying True to Your CompassIncluded
  • 6.4When Life Disrupts the Plan — Resilience and Re-OrientationIncluded

Jozelle

I want to start with something honest: nobody sat me down at 17 and said, "Here's how to figure out what actually matters to you." I had to stumble into that understanding slowly — through decisions I regretted, paths I chose for the wrong reasons, and a long stretch of time where I was doing all the right things and still feeling like something was off.

Maybe that sounds familiar to you, or to someone you love.

Here's what I've come to believe: feeling lost isn't a character flaw. It's what happens when we grow up in a world that gives us plenty of instructions for how to succeed — and almost none for who to become. We're handed a roadmap before we've ever been asked where we actually want to go.

That's the gap this course exists to close. Every module, every question, every prompt in Your Inner Compass is designed to do one thing: help you hear yourself more clearly. Not the version of you that's trying to make everyone proud. Not the version shaped by other people's expectations or borrowed beliefs you never chose. The real one — the one that already has opinions, values, and a sense of what a good life looks like, if only someone would ask the right questions.

I built this as a workbook-style experience on purpose. Reading about self-discovery doesn't change anything. Writing through it does. There's something that happens when you put your actual values on paper, when you name a real strength and trace it back through your life, when you sketch out what a good life genuinely looks like for you — not in the abstract, but in specific, honest terms. Things shift.

You won't find any lectures here, and I won't be telling you who to be. I'll ask you questions, walk alongside you, and trust you to do the real work — because you're more capable of that than you might think right now. My job is just to hand you the compass. The direction is always yours to choose.

Come in with whatever you're carrying. Uncertainty, skepticism, a quiet hope that something might click. All of it is welcome. Let's find out what you're made of.
